Is the pic is your HID setup with anti-glare? I would like to know the cost involved and which brand is that.
No, actually the ones I am referring to don't have any coloured grill. These are pee pee horns and not po po. I would advice you to buy horns from any local market as you would get to listen the sound output there and then. For installation, a relay with wire is required.

Yes, those are HIDs with anti glare shield. Now, if you want to have some good output from HIDs, then don't even think of going for cheap non branded chinese setups, those are not worth investing.

For HIDs always go for Cnlight bulbs. Costing approx ₹1500 - ₹2500 for a pair. For Ballasts, always use either Cnlight or Hylux Ballasts. Cnlight ballasts cost ₹2500 - ₹3000 for a pair and the Hyluxtek ones cost ₹2500 for a single. Note that, except Hyluxtek all items come in pairs.

If you want even more output then be ready to shell out some more and opt for a projector setup. Hella E55s and Morimoto Mini H1 6.0 and Morimoto Mini Matchbox projectors cost approx ₹6K for a pair. But these are without a bulb and ballast, i.e. 6K plus 2.5K-3K for bulbs and 3K for ballast. But the output of these projectors just through out every other headlamp upgrade right off the ground.

So if you have the moolah, and the urge to shine on the tarmac, then buy a 2.5" or bigger RHD projector with the above said setup. With projectors, you even can flash your high beams, but with HID in reflector, you can't do that safely. (Google it)
If you have a friend then you can buy all this and then share the cost with him, as everything comes in a pair, otherwise sell the remaining stuff on eBay / Olx.

For buying all this, head to Xenonplanet.in / avstuning.com / https://www.facebook.com/morimotoindia/

For more information about HIDs and projectors, check out gearheads.in forum, they have good info.

PS: I am not affiliated with any of the above sellers, buy at your own risk. I am just sharing some info.

Anyhow, the best suggestion which any of the more experienced members would give you - get onto youtube and search for one yourself.

Hi buddy,

Recently the same problem appeared in my NS too. Mono shock is leaking and riding became uneasy. My bike is out of warranty, so I asked the price of mono shock to SVC and they told me it is 3400₹ without labour but not in stock right now. Will be available within 2 weeks. I checked online on 99rpm.com and came to know that the price is 2500₹ approximately. So is it okay to buy it online and get it replaced at local mechanic?

Again, you are starting the same dude. "You Own NS and you comment on AS & RS thread thinking like they are all same" -it ain't good, we share our experience and suggestions, but that doesn't have to be 100% fix for an issue. Plus nobody wants to show up our skills here.

Kindly YOU and GauravD, guys please stop trolling each other. Kindly ignore this from here on before bringing mods attention.

So far as I have checked few spares, they are a bit costly from Bajaj SVC side than what we come across the forums and sites (though we say Bajaj spares are cheap). I have no experience on buying these items online, so can't comment. But you can negotiate with SVC about this a bit. I did the same for my headlight assembly and reduced 200/- finally.

When I asked a mechanic, he said one possible reason could be Bajaj --> X dealer/agent --> y dealer --> user. So that is where the cost difference could be. In case of buying it from a local shop, it would be less. This is a scenario in Chennai and my Bajaj svc is kind of small.

OT - Seriously bro ... LOL ... some AS and RS owners actually think that the NS is inferior to the AS and the RS. Little do they realise that the RS and the AS came into existence ONLY because of the success of the NS which has carved out kind of a cult for itself. Else they would not be having the AS or the RS. Anyhow you are right bro .. no point arguing with people who have an egoistical mindset thereby attracting mod attention ... Peace out !

Specifically to you only bro ... I wonder how to such folks actually manage to follow the laws and rules and respect fellow road users ... Anyhow this was the last of my posts on this issue.

Before buying any product from SVC check for the genuine marks from bajaj and MRP tag from factory. And if you have time check the price and labour from different SVC.

99rpm is a good site by experience I am telling because normally buy fiat spares from them and are very genuine but the delivery is little late.
About the Bajaj spares they may be having genuine spares.

Good idea. But isn't the MRP always be at higher side for some reasons?. My svc guy didn't show up the box.... I should have been careful

See, I buy genuine spares from Bajaj and make them fit it too, and keep the bill safely. Now suppose the second shock you fit starts leaking, or has some fault in it. If you have bought/done it through ASC, you are saved, since they will give replacement. Ok, just shared what I do. If you trust spares from some shop, or a local mechanic, it's up to you! Because there Are shops that sell genuine stuff, and there are mechanics who are far better than Bajaj mechanics! Cheers

He is not showing because MRP for that part is less than what he is telling to you. And always stay with bike while they do any work on your bike. If they doesn't allow then there should be a customer lounge from where you can keep eye on your bike. Keep eye on whatever the technician is doing with bike. SVC guys are there to loot you (very few are trustful and genuine). As they get incentives for extra work they do.

Thank you all NSians for such a great support. Ordered Mono Shock at SVC along with Chain Sprocket kit as chain life came to end. As one of my friend told me that online retailers may provide refurbished products so opted for SVC this time. ODO 33k and 2nd set of chain sprocket worn out even after taking a good care of chain. May be because of my riding style.
