I came acrossOriginally posted by prateek2210 View PostWhat happened to this part?
3 or 4 comets for sale till date
One was for 75k immaculate condition! 1st owner
One was the one my friend bought 20 25 k or so and pretty decent shape mechanically and all 3rd owner
One was 18k accident damage 2nd owner
And the one I came across the guy agreed for 10 grand but the bike dosent crank or move owner is the 3rd owner
And has been sitting for about a year pretty beat up cosmetically but dont know mechanicals sice it wont run.
Plus he said he had all the papers but insurance pollution and tax invoice along eith all service history was not there.... but getting the papers done is the easy part. Few strings to pull only...so im ok with papers. Ho nahi ho bann jaega....but mechanical was the issue as I stated above
Hence dropped the idea.
And yes their are comets for sale for 1 lakh plus here too in very good shape. But then they dont sell quick or easily
No one wants a sales dud with no company support unless your an enthusiast. They keep ads in olx etc for 1 lakh this that.... a year down the line they probably still havent sold the bike...
Just an example kinetic blaze goes for about 5 to 8 grand running.
Kinetic honda 2 stroke scooters are about 2 grand sometimes.
These are not yezdis colts triumps and rd350s of yester years that they will go for a high price. Cities like bangalore where you have support for such bikes is where they are higher priced
Most 2 strokers and exotic bikes are owned by guys in south india only
Hence prices might be higher their
And I have seen running rx 135s go for 5 grand.
Kolkata 2nd hand bike market is pretty cheap since we have the infamous mullick bazar
Sell them a bike/car without papers hand to hand cash exchange and no paperwork and they will get the papers made within a week and sell it off!!
then go with your papers to the rto and you wont find a trace of your ownership in their system
If your vehicle is stolen in kolkata it better to forget about it...
Sad and harsh truth my friend
Sorry for the long and OT post
But I had to clear every question for my friend prateek here
Hope I was helpfull buddy.
divyansh....
Also my friend sold that bike off pretty soon
He was heart broken when he couldn't source simple parts and tuning the carbs made mechs cry!

I am getting a kinetic husong comet 250 (naked) one in yellow for about 10 grand, papers are ok, bike dosent run its not run for about a year and starting it was in vain,
Its carbed...
Now I know parts are impossible to source
Does a husong 250 have da same engine etc? Then sourcing parts would be easier right?

Re: Hyosung GT 250R
I totally agree on this part that normally all 2strokes motorcycles are now owned by south india people, as they love 2strokes more, this mullick bazaar in your state is it like some chor bazaar thing, where you can get anything and can sell from motorcycle to aeroplane, story on recovery of stolen vehicles is same in the whole India not alone in Calcutta, recently my friends new Dzire car tyres were stolen (all 4 of them) and till now nothing has been recovered by the police.Originally posted by Divyanshp150 View PostI came across

Re: Hyosung GT 250R
If there is no showroom in your city keep in mind that if something happens you need to actually go to other city or you need to find a mechanic good enough to handle it.Originally posted by prateek95 View Posthey guys i wanted to ask that how much should i pay for a 2012 gt 250r runned around 9000 kms. and as i dont have hyosung showroom in my city so is the bike reliable or it is a money pit in terms of maintanence.
Quote should be near 1.8-2lacs as its still sbk "feel" bike
Please check the last page where you first wrote that the parts are easy to find then in the same week you said that parts are a problem.Originally posted by Divyanshp150 View Post@prateek2210 Below are my posts

Anyways apart from svc, I have already shared a link from where one can source parts. Its upto people whether they are comfortable buying parts online or not?Last edited by prateek2210; 05-26-2014, 10:15 PM.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Quoting all my posts from this thread,
Parts are easy? Where did I write so,
I wrote getting parts for a husong gt 250 will be easier than a comet since its on sale and im from kolkata and we have the husong shwromm. Imho its easier to source parts of a current gen. bike with asc rather than a defuct. bike(read kinetic comet) without even the company!(read kinetic)
I hope now you are not confused.

Re: Hyosung GT 250R
The first being service history, prefer the bike with service being done in only authorised svc.Originally posted by prateek95 View Postthere are a few superbikes here there must be someone sevicing them so service is not an issue also i called hyosung jaipur, nearest hyosung dealer and they said they could send their machanic here. what i am concerned is what things to look for when inspecting the hyosung can you please suggest few things? and sorry a complete noob here so.
Check for scratches near the crankcase and gear box as these are the places that are to repair in case of any fall, until someone actually changes them.
GTs have all time issue with their alternator, so get spare one, just in case.
Brake and clutch wire should have very minimum play.
Tyres should have health as per the odometer, e.g : a 2k-3k kms run bike should have fairly new tyreFare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world
