The Hyosung gt 250r rider review
So here it is guys , it has been 168 hrs since my baby comet came home. The first instance you start the ignition you hear hardcore rock from the bike which goades you to get it roaring.
As the ride began back home you feel like u have a true blue sports bike in your hands and it hums around smoothly even in choc a bloc traffic AND the USP which is the eyeball grabbing capacity which pleases you but on the other hand it wud be wise to keep clear as many a collision seemed to happen arnd me
.
I wud like to clarify all the doubts we had after reading the innumerable reviews :
>The size nd weight of the bike is not at all a problem in fact it reminds you the difference between gt250 nd cbr or ninja
>The low end torque is good nd improves as the vtwin heats. Also the heat does not cause discomfort but rather gives it an aesthetic touch.
>The gears need improvement nd are among the worst in india
>The service is really gud nd customer support is more than prompt

This is strange , when i rode the Test bike the gears which i along with my buddies felt excellent and honestly say much much better than my 2008 R15. check with the service center and also with some other bikes, as i am sure that gears are smooth and good [i have ridden 2 GT250R's]Originally posted by Sid30 View PostSo here it is guys , it has been 168 hrs since my baby comet came home. Last of all I would tell u guys one thing : if you are after high end perfomance u wud rather wait for the 2013 ninja( 2012 is crap nd not worth 3 lac) otherwise go for the hhysung
Note: delete the crap word , we won;t allow here to disrespect any other bikes, and for your info Ninja is better product [hope your view is based only on look]

first actual owner of a GT250R
there is something seriously wrong with this thread, either all the owners just disappeared or everybody canceled their bookings or something fishy.
ANYWAY....
we now have a real owner of a Hyosung GT250R ..... the first xbhpian to actually get the delivery...
and he is "nagoo"...
posting his pic without his permission (sorry nagoo, couldn't hold myself)...from another thread-->
sorry nagoo, posted your pic from another thread without your permission, this thread was looking so boring without an actual owner.
you are cordially invited to post your experiences and pics (lots of them)...

and moderators can clear up the 9 pages of clutter, if they feel...

However few things I noticed where, while taking a U-Turn before the handle is completely turned towards one side my elbow touches the tank restricting my movement to turn the bike. Second time when I rode and did a U turn, I raised by elbows to ensure it does not touch the tank.
Plastic quality, fit and finish could be better and the bike given to us was used by many other forums for testing so gear shifting was a problem in the bike i Rode. Very hard shifts indeed.
The bike's riding position is the most extreme riding position and it is a big no no for me at least for riding in city due to the ergonomics set up and lean angle. I believe short rides and highways are the places where this bike can be used better. Brakes were not the best in class but manageable, baby ninja's brakes are better.
Exhaust note is good and acceleration of the bike is easily noticeable.
I did 120 kmph on 4th Gear and the bike was moving forward really well before I got stuck in traffic. You can only feel the weight of the bike while taking U turn, sharp turns and when the bike is in traffic.
Yes, I m 6 feet tall so touch the ground was easy for me. Few others I saw test riding were short fellows who were on their toes when the bike is stationary. Don't get me wrong the seat height has been kept low to ensure you touch the ground but if you are really short then you might be on your toes.
Some more pics for you guys,

Know this showroom its just 5 mins from our house near Rmall. Congrats buddy.
