428, yes 2k. What is the reason you are changing to a 16/17 t . It really does not help the top end unless you have a long long stretch to open up. -

Hi. I have a 200NS. After reading through some (reliable) sites, came to the conclusion that a 428 chain gives far less transmission loss than a 520 chain. Only thing is, have to check the specs and select the one matching the load capacity of the 520. Well, that is ok. But sprockets! I found that the front sprocket of my (previous bike) P150 is a perfect match on the 200NS. But the chain will most probably rub the swingarm because it's dia is less than the 14T 520 sprocket. I can increase the rear sprocket dia, of course, but I would like a slightly taller ratio than the stock 14/39. So can I get a bigger front sprocket, say 16 or 17T? Shaft/spline size exactly same as P150. Also, I would be very thankful if you help me out with the rear sprocket too. People have been over gearing / under gearing bikes since ages without any errors on the speedometer. Most of the bikes have their speedometer cable attached to the front wheel. Sprocket size does not affect the speedometer readings.Leave a comment:

With reference to this post, I want to know if the vice versa also holds good.
As the speedo measures the KMPH from the crank and it shows incorrect speed in case of using a smaller front sprocket which is more than the actual speed, it should show less speed if we use a smaller rear sprocket than the actual speed as well.
Am I missing something
