NS uses 520 (I own it, changed rear sprocket to P220's 36T, with some mod work on the 4-hole P220 sprocket to make it 6-hole to suit NS. You can use the same D200 front sprocket, and the new (P180 ug4 is 39T I guess, or use the NS 39T) reduction in size will leave you with around 2 inches chain length to tighten.

Thanks for your response but I heard that the 200 ns's chain is not .520 pitch and its .420. Let's assume that the 200 ns rear sprocket fits my d200s wheel can I still use the same front sprocket?? And the same chain?? Confused

If the NS's rear sprocket fits direct, you are lucky. It also has 6 holes, but you have to remove your Duke's sprocket, keep the NS sprocket on top and check holes for matching. Also the dia of the centre hole. As for chain, no need to worry. Since you are going to fit in a few teeth less, the sprocket dia will be smaller, hence the chain will be longer than needed. Hope you can tighten it with the adjuster. Or you may have to remove a link. Removing a link from an O-ring chain should be done using a hydraulic press, by experts only!

Hi All, I tried to gather some information on sprocketing my 6k kms old duke 200 as I am finding the gearing to be too short for my highway rides. I have a 2015 model which has 6 mount points for the sprocket, will I be able to swap the current rear sprocket with the one from the 200 ns or the whole 200 ns chain sprocket kit? Will it suit the duke with out modification?
My other option is to salvage an older version rear alloy and hub with 4 mount points and get the pulsar 180 ug4 sprocket.. Will the pulsar's chain be enough to complete this mod.??? Desperately in need of ideas.. Please help!!!

Iam looking to replace my sprockets (both, Front & Rear) and O ring chain for my Ninja 300. Does anyone know where I can source a Rolon set here in Pune. The rear sprocket is 42 teeth and front 14.

NS has 6 fitment holes.

Yamaha R15 2.0 comes with a chain pitch of .428
Instead, try the Pulsar 200 NS
. If I am not mistaken, it comes with 4 fitment holes and a chain pitch of .520

Hi Fellas..
I own a Honda CBR 150R. It has 15/43T .428 pitch chain sprocket. i just want to do some modifications in them. because the chain which comes as standard is a normal open chain. which has no o-rings. it tends to tighten when we drive the bike for more than a 200kms. chain play is perfectly set up as per the requirment.

1. is it possible to convert my .428 pitch setup to .520 pitch?

1a. If YES, do we have to maintain the number of sprocket teeth or the diameter of the sprocket. i don't want this alteration to affect my bike's gear ratio.

2. can we change the rear wheel hub. actually right now the rear wheel hub has 4 bolts. is it possible to fix a 6 hole hub in it. say it for a r15 v2.0's hub..?

please help me out techies....


Note : the reason behind this question is, at present when ever i change chain sprockets, i am buying two sprocket kits.
1. Honda CBR 150R's sprocket kit. For its front and rear sprockets.
2. Yamaha R15 v2.0's sprocket kit. For its chain. as it has X-Ring chain. anyway i had to cut some of its links.

this setup is quit fantastic but eats lots of money each and every time when we change the kit.

Hi everyone! I am from Pune and I drive Honda CB shine 2012. I love to do long rides. I have done few around pune. My problem is I am tired of vibrations above 70 Kmph.
After a long research on solution I came to know that changing front sprocket to the Unicorn's one will reduce vibrations. Anybody here has done Mods on Honda Shine here?

Shine is currently on 41/14 Stock configuration. I have come with following options.

1) Changing front sprocket by 15 teeth unicorn sprocket. Gear ratio will change by 6%. but its not a direct fit as it requires shaving off the edges since its .428 pitch sprocket against shine's .420 pitch sprocket.

2) Changing the complete set with Stunner's 42/16-.428 pitch (As I read on one site) kit which will be 10% change from Stock setup. But problem with this setup is no. of chain links. Shine Needs 116 links and stunner has 126 links.

The question is, Is it possible to reduce chain links? If yes, Will it affect the integrity of Chain and the life? ( I dont Want it to break in middle of nowhere).
I have found some .428 pitch 116L chains online. But I doubt I could buy them indivudually.

Also, Any suggestion on good mechanic in Nana Peth or anywhere in Pune?
Any suggestions are welcome. Please help. I am a newbie here.

With a 42T rear (16T front), you would get 6% taller gearing over stock. That's what I'm planning. The 428 reduces transmission losses, that's why I'm interested. And... I saw in youtube, they are using 17T/428 for NS, no rubbing anywhere!!
