Please write a complain to DSK, DSK is very strict on these fronts!! They will surely solve it. DSk is well know supporter for Toyota. So they won't spoil the brand image.Originally posted by gotskiz View PostThe bike show room in bangalore has almost no accessories, forget the mods. i still havent got the rear seat back rest :-( I wasnt too impressed with the service folks either. They didnt sound quite savvy. Also, you cant go for any mods until the warranty period (2 years)
Also, has anyone got the bike registered? I am still on temporary registration (6 weeks since i bought)

the BLR SVC is the worst , they don;t care for customer only they sell bike and forget.
for my bike also they said they will give temp numb and i refused and after bugging them everyday finally they given perm numb.
call them every day and don;t let them to slip away , after 5 months also i didn't got number plate holder which comes with bike , they said comp will send later and till now giving only excuses.
forgot about the parts, they don;t even provided Govt tax challan/bills after 5 months also and almost calling more than 30times and visiting showroom 5times still they are giving reasons. collect all ur bills and check they might have taken 12K extra from u, as they did take 10k extra for me and other customers. this weekend some of us are visiting there to question them this behavior. and also planning for complain in consumer forum

Same with me, they have not yet got me the bike papers, I have been calling them daily, I believe the problem might be related to the RTO clearance, each vehicle need certain RTO clearance for each state and then location, if they would have got that done then there would be no reason for not getting the papers, but looks like they have not done that and might be in process to get this done in coming days. I have been good to them by just asking when it will happen and they always give me NEXT day as the date when to get the paper! Good part I have got all other OEM accesories with bike including number plates, rear seat back rest, just waiting for papers to take the bike out on road.

They have now promised it will be done by first week of april (something to do with financial year). stock silencer beat? It sucks !!!Originally posted by VK Subash View PostIts surprising that even after 6 weeks the bike still has been given a permanent. This talks about service. Please tell how the stock silencer sounds. Does it have the grunt?

Congratulations @gotskiz and @pramods. Its a fantastic bike. Have seen a couple of them in my locality here in Pune.
It is rather shocking to hear the A.S.S horror tales even after DSK took over from Garware. I think the owners should immediately write to them and bring this to their notice. They will definitely act on the issues.
Issues like these and brand commitment is what refraining people from buying these good products.
I am curious to know one thing from the owners, was HD sportsters on your mind/shortlist before buying and what were the reasons that tilted the favours towards Aquila.Imperfect human knowledge may be a bumpy, pot-holed street but its the only road to wisdom worth taking . . .

hedgeanoop - yes i had checked out the HDs as well. I have done a test ride of Iron 883 - too stiff for my preference. Superlow - suuuuupperlow ground clearance :-( The longer wheel base will make it even worse on indian roads. Overall specs wise (for the indian roads), Aquilla is better than the sportsters. Look wise - well HDs might score higher.Originally posted by hegdeanoop View PostCongratulations @gotskiz and @pramods. Its a fantastic bike. Have seen a couple of them in my locality here in Pune.

DSK (atleast bangalore) will have to do something about their service center. It looks like a run-down shanty and not a super-bike shop.

The GV 650`s with the Larry Cook, Double slash gives it a very throaty sound. Also liked the HR1 mods which is milder but manages a deep sound. The problem is the price. It ranges from 520 to 600 USD which is very very expensive. The HR1 is relatively cheaper. But Aquila without a modified exhaust system does not really make up for all that appeal the bike has got.

Hi Guys,
Congratulations for your new bikes. It an absolute stunner
I have been eyeing this bike for quite sometime and have finally decided to buy it. I have read lot of reviews on this bike and mostly everyone has given good reviews.
I just have one question though (may be too soon to ask)
Is this bike for long run? What I mean is, this bike was released in other countries under different name (ATK, Kasinski Mirage ..) and the earlier models (2010, 2011) had mixed reviews, where the owners have complained that the bike had died on them and they had to tow it back. Also, there were complaints on the quality of the parts used.
Riding AV650, did you guys get any such symptoms?
Thanks,
Vijesh

Re: Hyosung GV650 - Aquila Pro
What i have read is that the earlier versions had some quality issues, but the ones post 2010 or so have been good. But it is still too early to say that Vijesh. Some of us just decided to take the plunge being too impatient :-) My ideal choice would have been Intruder M800, but that is too expensive - almost double :-(Originally posted by vijesh.shetty View PostHi Guys,

I just did a short trip at 120kmph. Bike is really stable, and this time i didnt have much vibrations on the handle bar/mirrors. Slight vibe on the foot pegs - maybe good to have, so that one is conscious of the speed.
Anyone got the registration done in Bangalore....? Still on Temp Registration :-(
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Did some shopping for riding gear while in the U.S. picked up couple of cheapo knee pads ($19), back protector (Alpine - level 2 - $150), Dianese Gloves ($120).
I was absolutely in love with the Dianese Xantum jacket (sporty), but they didnt have the right size :-(
What kinda jackets have folks bought? Which ones are suitable for Indian conditions ? The ones i really liked were Olympia AST2, Revit Sand Jacket - both are though a bit out of my budget...

Re: Hyosung GV650 - Aquila Pro
Thanks for the pointer. Where did you buy from? Do we need to worry about Denier rating, for cruising trips (say b/w 80-120kmph) ?Originally posted by sumitro_d View PostTry RJays jackets last year bought one at 9k excellent quality with mesh and inner liner plus it's comes with elbow shoulder and back protection all of them removable.
