The battery specification is YTX14-BS which can be seen mentioned on the stock battery. You can order the YUSA battery online from Bachoo Motors website who will then have it delivered to your place. This same battery fits on GT650 naked,GT650R and even the Aquila Pro 650.I have this same battery fitted on Dec2012 after that there has been no problem with battery charging and no starting up problem even is the bike isn't used for more than a week. Here's the website link YTX14-BS - Bachoo Motors

I got my bikes second service done yesterday. Explained the battery problem to the engineer he showed me ECU diagnostics and there was nothing wrong, no error. I wanted to know the reason for the battery going dead twice and he assured me that there is nothing wrong. He also said that if this happens again, they will replace the battery.

Also when i rode back home after service the FI light came on after about a km. I went again today and the mechanic said that O2 sensor has carbon. Fortunately there was engineer from hyosung present and he saw that the sensor reading was not moving and stuck at 2.1. He was nice enough to propose that the sensor be changed under warranty. So it was.

Now my scare is that i use higher octane fuel 90% of the time and yet the sensor died. What if it happens again? They say that this sensor is only replaced once under warranty and costs aboit 9k.

Thanks for the inputs folks !!
So has the battery given any problem after that? what was the nature of problem with your rectifier? was it changed/replaced or repaired? how was the problem with rectifier identified?
Sorry for a flurry of questions but i just want this battery problem i have like you, to be sorted out asap.

I havent gone on long rides after the battery replacement. However from the experience i have so far, nothing seems to be certain. They replaced the rectifier once.
The problem with rectifier was identified as the batter was not getting charged. This should be easy to detect - just open the battery compartment, start the bike and check the voltage in the input to battery. It will fluctuate as you rev up the engine, and should max at about 14.7 volts or so (approx).

Again more than the bike, the service centre is pathetic. Absolutely useless bunch who have zero interest in bikes (they could make a better living selling onions).

Have been reading the above posts. Seriously guys, forget the SVCs, all you need is a multimeter. U need to check your stator and the rectifier. There is enough open source knowledge out there.http://www.roadstercycle.com/Stator%...%20Example.htm
