Did you get the damper hub, sprocket bearing changed along with the chain sprocket ? Mine also lasted around 20k kms and it took a whole month for them to source the damper hub alone.
Surprised to hear that about Motozone. Do you have more details on what really went wrong ?

Got my chain and sprockets replaced. The previous set lasted me around 20000 km but were completely shot. I got the stock configuration Rolon chain & sprocket set from Kandhari Motors, Nana Peth, Pune for Rs.9400/- and got the same installed by Hybrid Tunerz for Rs.250/-.

Specifications of chain are:

Front Sprocket - 14 Teeth
Rear Sprocket - 42 teeth
Chain - X ring chain, 106 links, 520 pitch

On enquiring with Kawasaki SVC earlier, they quoted around RS.20,000/- with part availability anywhere between 10 days to 1 month. Installation labour cost was quoted at less than Rs. 2000/-.

I feel compelled to caution my fellow riders about the recent horrible experience I had with Motozone here in Pune. Vikram, the proprietor was most unprofessional the other day with me, despite us having a long standing relationship for a number of years. I wish to point out here, that goodwill in business takes a long time to build but can be broken in a minute. This is a two way street. Surprisingly, I heard from a number of other people after this incident with me regarding his high handedness with others.

Oops, thanks for reminding me, but I didn't get my battery changed as the particular size of battery from Amaron wasn't available with that dealer. If I recall correctly, the cost quoted, at the time, was around 2500/-. I am still running the stock battery, with my bike just a shade under 50000 KMS. But as someone posted just before this, Exide or Amaron should be a VFM option and work fine for another 3 years or so of use.

You can get the Duke 390/RC390 Exide battery, which is around 2.5k. Many have been running with it for years, easy on the pocket too. Stock Yuasa will cost you more than 10k and imo its not worth investing so much on it.

Hello Friends,
I'm sorry if i'm asking the already discussed topic on Batteries, but can someone please help me with suggestions on battery suitable for Ninja 300 (2014 model).
My battery died last week and upon inspection, its voltage has dropped below 11volts on Idle and has to be replaced.

Now the manual only mentions the 12v-8ah battery without mentioning about make or recommendations.
Kawasaki service centre in Pune is suggesting Yuasa Battery (costing ~15K) and Mumbai service centre is suggesting SHIDO Lith-Ion battery (costing ~9k)..

I have also heard that Exide and Amaron batteries are bad for Ninja and can play havoc with Electrical system of bike.

Do any of you have any recommendations and past experiences to share, that can help me deciding on the battery to go for.

Small update: I have installed 2 inch risers (2 x 1inch riser) and fitted a ninja 650 clutch cable, because the current clutch cable was small for the risers. Also installed a 40t rear sprocket, which has improved the rideability of low gears tremendously.

Now with risers and 40t sprocket, the Ninja has become very comfortable for commuting too! Haven't yet tested it on highway, but enjoying my commutes.

buddies! I have booked ninja 300 krt....and the bike got delivered yesterday! its one such a fab machine! machine gets little hot,but thats ok i guess! .. I've purchased Gorilla 9000 2way alarm! Will that have any adverse affect on battery? does it void warrenty?

You have to purchase. They don't even give a key chain.. only thing they provide is bullet proof, smooth engine. Please check with your nearby showroom.

Ninja 400 ABS has been launched in USA at MSRP $5,499 which is same as Ninja 300 ABS model with KRT Edition
