Re: Strange front suspension sound- Honda Trigger
Congrats i22 for covering all these happy miles!Originally posted by i22 View PostHi,
There must definitely be possibility of repair. Is it leaking any oil?
Did you drop it into biggish pothole or something?
Please do let us know of any updates.
Congo on the 18,000 kms. Mine is at around 30,000 kms right now.
Cheers.
As for the oil leakage, there is no visible leakage.
The bike went on some rough roads last month, but not rough enough to harm the suspension i guess.

My bike had following problemsOriginally posted by i22 View PostOops! That sounds pretty bad. Would love to know what troubled you so much.
Many miles on the CBR [emoji106]

1. Ideling problem.
2. Choke cable use to get jam frequently changed almost 3 cables in 2 years.
3. Rims had air leaking problem.I had to replace the front rim to get rid of this problem completly.
4. Quality of the instrument cluster had to change the indicator switch in the 1st year itself.
Ideling problem majorly to surfaced during weekend ride when I was on a ride to lonavala. It was fine till the time I reached lonavala on the return journey the bike wont idel at all had to keep the acceleration on to keep it ideling. So I thought its better I sell it off soon.
On the other had my almost 7-8 years old unicorn still runs well and in stock conditions. Nothing replaced except regular maintenance parts.
And lastly I got a good offer on cbr so grabed the offer, thanks to BSIII ban 😅.Last edited by M_Trigger; 06-08-2017, 11:58 AM.

Re: Strange front suspension sound- Honda Trigger
If there is any problem you can get it replaced in the extended warranty if you have opted for it.Originally posted by bike-o-holic View PostHello everyone,
I own a 2014 Honda CB Trigger Std. The bike is otherwise running smooth, except for a strange stiffness and springy sound from the front suspension when it goes on rough patches!
What might be the issue? Is the suspension gone kaput and needs replacement, or is there a possibility of repair? Need your suggestion on this experts!
P.S: The bike just completed 18k on the odo this morning!

Re: Strange front suspension sound- Honda Trigger
Usually the ASC guys dont remind us about the warranty but if you remind them they replace it under warranty. I got the switch replaced second time under warranty itself. My brother's CBR150 was repaired under warranty. It had electric problems.Originally posted by bike-o-holic View PostYes, had opted in for the extended warranty!

I guess suspension are covered under warranty. Just confirm it. And if suspension are covered under warranty and if the ASC refuses Then try talking with GM, service manager if they too refuse then write a mail to honda customer care I've heard that honda take the customers seriously.

This doesn't give me any clue what could be wrong. Have you got it checked? I'd love to know the updates.

But the rims have held up fine until now though.
They say the idling issue is connected to the choke cable, which keeps getting jammed. Faulty positioning I guess. Needs some more insulation from water seeping in. Not sure.
The indicator switch, yes. Tappet "clicking" sound, yes. The pass switch wouldn't work sometimes. Main ignition key needs some coaxing to stay at 'On' sometimes...
Not without some uncharacteristic niggles, that's for sure. Especially for a Honda.
Glad you were one of those who grabbed those BS3 deals.
Cheers man [emoji106]

The tyres had tyer sealant in them which had leaked from the edges which caused the problem.Originally posted by i22 View PostI've had the same

Sometimes cleaning carburettor solves the problem of idling.
Jamed choke cable cause the rpm to increase when clutch is engaged. This may even happen when the idling screw is not properly adjusted. I have experienced both the cases.
One more reason for selling of the bike was that the ASC said that the body parts of trigger and not available readly.
Lastly I luckly got a good deal for the CBR250 so got a good reason to convince my dad for new bike ☺😊
