AWESOME Divya bhai! Got to kick myself as i never knew this thread was up. You said you'll notify us in the ownership thread!. Great review btw. One query- How do you lube the chain? Do you prefer oiling it or just using the chain spray? And you just had to mention your mileage figures in the review bro.

Shall start my ownership review after the bike runs 50k kms. it's still stuck at 35k kms

I guess I put it up on the ownership thread. But, sorry if I forgot to do so.

Regarding chain maintenance, I use grease once in 600-800 kms and then chain lube for 500 kms in an alternate fashion. Then, clean the entire thing with diesel and repeat the cycle again.
Ride and hope to see you clock 50k kms soon. I'm waiting for that on my bike too. I guess my trip to Bhubaneswar (tentative) would help in doing it.

Without fail. The plan is March tentative. My sis studies there and I plan on surprising her. I hope I am able to sort out work and take a long leave for the trip.

A very detailed and precise review divya bhai. Loved the way you covered all the aspects for a prospective buyer.

Bhai just a request, when you do get the time could you also add a note on the tyre replacements that have worked for you, apart from the stock ones

By views in short :

1). I replaced the stock tires on 7k kms. replaced by Michelin M45, the best tire i have ever used (unfortunately not available in market anymore). M45 lasted me approx 37,000 kms. Now i have Pirelli Sport Demon, as mentioned by Divya as it is a leech in dry condition and very gud in wet condition too. I am still in a search of gud front tire.

2). Regarding brakes pads, unfortunately i have changed it something 6-7 times. Reading on my Odo is 60000 kms.

3). Regarding Engine Oil +1 to Mobil1, according to me too it is the best engine oil for ZMR. I have used almost all fully synthetic oils(Shell AX7, Honda FS 10w30, Motul 300v, mobil1).

4). Out of 60,000 kms, 50,000 kms are done on touring. Riding posture is good. stability on highway is good.

5). Changed stock battery to 9Ah Exide. Stock last me till 45,000 kms.

6). Only the bad thing is Power to weight Ratio, according to me it is the worst ever.

Wonderful review Divya. I have got to know a lot of new things after reading your post. It's been just over a month and little over 1500 kilometers on my new ZMR and your review will indeed help many people out there just like me..

Why don't you go in for front michellin m45, i think thats available... good to know my estimates are working fine

I'm fine with stock front tires. Stock lasted ~37k kms and got the same ones again. They are decent tires and I feel one must always know the limits of oneself and his bike to avoid nasty situations on the road.
