Posting this on behalf of a close friend. He got delivery of his bike on last Thursday.
There is quite a muscle under the hood. You just have to twist the throttle and you are off like a jet .

    Handling:
The seating posture is upright sporty, and feels much comfortable even for long rides. Good they are providing stock pirelli. However if you have short height you'll find it little difficult to control and flick the bike in city traffick.

    Performance:
The 535cc heart pumps like hell. Acceleration is just awesome. However the bike lags at top end, with company claimed top speed just around 140 kmph (Expectations are much with 500cc motor). But that still needs to tested in person.

    Looks:
You can call this as a vintage sports bike, which posses it's different charm. Grandfathers of bike racing used to have bike which almost looked like this. Instrument cluster is analogue, with digital odo and fuel bar. +1 for speedo to display both kph and mph. Just as a specific detail, I personally like those rear view mirrors at the end of both handlebars . It looks like a red beast ready to tame the roads.

    Ride Comfort:
The bike is more suitable for long touring. Seats have enough cushion and prevent your butts from boils on a long ride. Suspensions are a bit harder but are capable to easily absorb those regular bumps and small potholes on highways.

It is perfect merge of oldies and modern tech.
Bike is still under engine breakin. Waiting for the sleeping monster to wake up.

PS: If you have a girlfriend I say it's a bad idea to get this bike, otherwise be ready to face her as she will be really getting pissed off (no pillion seat, happened with my friend, lol ... )
Me, my ride and endless roads...

    Ownership Approved

But what you could have done is you could have taken some snapshots of the bike you rode which would aid in the description well, with a comprehensive first ride review, just my two cents.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

New beast added to my bike fleet @ Royal Enfield Continental GT ( MADE LIKE A GUN )

                Hi

Myself Omkar budhale from Kolhapur Maharashtra

just bought new beast for me its Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 cc

As i 1st time saw the bike i fell in love with the classic look of the bike (where the same bike was manf at 1909 year about 100 years past)

i rushed to the Royal Enfield showroom in Kolhapur and asked to the test ride .. i was in love with the power and the launch of the bike. As I was

back from the test ride I asked for the quote for the bike but the salesman told me that the waiting period 3 to 4 months this was way out and I

could not wait that long to get the bike delivery . So I searched every showroom in Maharashtra and luckily I did find my love waiting for me at

Pune Siddh auto Royal Enfield. As the bike was booked by the 3 rd person from Pune and at the last moment he canceled the bike and denied to

take the bike delivery so i told the sales person Mr. Yogesh to give the bike to me and i'll pay the amount and take the bike with me to Kolhapur.

It was10:30 am at Siddh Auto showroom both the bike delivery at 6 pm in the eve after the temporary registration done , mean while me and my

friend ( Pranav )from Kolhapur who bought Continental GT with me did not have any work so we were doing shopping in the Royal Enfield

showroom itself buying all the GT stuff like Jacket , helmet , gloves , GT add on stuff like bar end mirrors and many more stuff.

As we got the bikes at 6 pm sharp did leave from there filled up the tanks and rushed out of the traffic and were at the highway back on the way

to Kolhapur but then we thought that we should tak a small off track trip and headed to Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar , did enjoy the curves on

the way to panchgani via ghat .

stayed at mahabaleshwar and early in the morning we were back with the two beast home.

Just had a small moon ride with my Royal Enfield group and had camped made the food and enjoyed the time with the other bikers we were about 35 to 40 bikes and 30 bikes.

Its was bit off road track enjoyed the run with them and will by beast has come for the 1st service done at 500 km in just under a week.

Did upgraded my beast with free flow exhaust ( megaflow ).

sorry for the bad quality of the pics as they were shot in hurry and from cell phone

will update more information of bike and my ride from pune to panchgani and then my short night ride ( Moon ride )Click image for larger version

Congratulations Omkar bhai. Now that GT is home, how done the ONE react? Or the 600 for that matter? They angry?

Thank you all ya now my fleet has
                      Yamaha R1
                      Honda CBR 600
                      Royal Enfield classic 500
                      Royal Enfield Continental GT 535
                      KTM 390
                      Yamaha FZs
just waiting to fall more in love with other bikes
600 and GT r both in different criteria
where 600 is anytime better then GT
but the feel on GT is great
when you cruise at 80 km/h you wont feel that its a royal enfield but at u reach 120 km/h then u get the vibrations on the handlebar and to reach out to 140 km/h u need to go in the drag mode ( aerodynamic stance ) u need to push ur bike and rev it till 5000 rpm
bike has the power through out the RPM for 1000 to 5000 rpm and then the read line of the rpm 6000
its fun to ride on the curves as the regular Royal enfield cant lean as much as the GT as the exhaust is higher then the rest of the models.
will post more pic and reviews about the Continental GT soon.
                      Once again thank you all
keep posting and enjoying my pics
