Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 - Owners Reviews
Had a formal test drive after coming to my hometown. Found there is no stock now to deliver even after, I was ready to buy in this December. I was told that the next batch delivery will be only in January. Seems like I need to wait.
It was fun to ride and my weight was kind of my plus(being 50.2 kg)

What you mean by other bikes? But answer is no. I was told the only difference is chassis with 2015.Originally posted by animeher View Post^^^ Have you test ridden other bikes as well? Waiting till Jan is good for you, make sure you get a 2015 manufactured vehicle whichever you buy.

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 - Owners Reviews
Last year, I test drove cbr250 but I was not interested because previously I had 400kms drive in cbr400 in abroad, so love the twin engine. In that time, Almost got booked in that for over speed on highway 127km/hr.Originally posted by animeher View PostI meant Ninja/CBR/Duke etc. 2015 manufactured bikes will hold better resale than 2014 manufactured, hence I asked you to make sure of that.
Ninja looks too toying in my subjective view.
Duke interested in quality but when I went for test drive I was told that no test drive. I questioned why no test drive and they said only in bangalore they give test drive not in coimbatore. I questioned back asking them how we can buy without a test drive. The stupid sales man said that, 13 people bought without test drive. I saw there was no proper attitude and respect to a customer so I just quit looking for that. Sometimes you can see in other branded items the sales man act like an founder of that company. Only in incredible India.
And back to the subject I like duke but not that interested. Duke is quite value for money if you are not looking for long drive.

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 - Owners Reviews
Two days ago, received a call from the showroom where I had my test drive. Saying there is a stock in Delhi with black one, if I want they can get to for me before my planned trip for this year end. And I asked earlier they said there is no stock and now they are calling to give me one. I got suspicious but anyway I made my mind to buy it in early 2015 with new 2015 chassis. Will get it by the end of January. But now I need to do my long drive of 600kms in yamaha gladiator 😳

Good choice Strider. An alternative would be to ask whether they would be providing discount on the 2014 model.
I too have an upcoming trip in Jan 14, which I have to do on my present bike, because of waiting for 2015 models.

Second service of 5000km is coming near.
Till date no issue just thumb the starter and go nothing to worry about smooth & comfortable ride.
For testing I drove @ 4.5K-5K rpm only and it gave mileage >35KMPL measured against 10L petrol.
And bike is smoothest at 65-70KMPH on sixth gear feeling like Nirvana. and can easily cruise at 100KMPH without any fuss.
One thing I am noticing is engine braking is too much is it normal with this kind of bike? other than this everything is normal.Drive FAST but not Rough, Drive SAFE But not Slow.

You're the torchbearer from Indian customers' perspective.
I remember Suzuki quoting 40 kmpl @ constant 60 km/h, I guess they meant highway rides.Originally posted by liionheart View PostFor testing I drove @ 4.5K-5K rpm only and it gave mileage >35KMPL measured against 10L petrol.
I guess that's because in 6th gear, input-shaft skips counter-shaft(used first five gears) & latches on to final-shaft/drive-shaft(for top gear). So, reduced hum! Same is the case in GS150R & most of the motorcycles with this contraption.Originally posted by liionheart View PostAnd bike is smoothest at 65-70KMPH on sixth gear feeling like Nirvana. and can easily cruise at 100KMPH without any fuss.
Riding between MaxTorqueRPM & MaxPowerRPM should be breezing. I guess that's between 85-105 km/h.
Engine braking feeling/amount depends on gear and RPM; lower gear & higher RPM with closing throttle => more engine-braking.Originally posted by liionheart View PostOne thing I am noticing is engine braking is too much is it normal with this kind of bike? other than this everything is normal.
I guess inefficiency is one outcome when multiple cylinders are used. Nevertheless, gains outweigh losses.
How do one classify a tranny as short-geared when it has six gears?Originally posted by shubhamtiger2 View PostShort geared bikes have higher engine braking its normal, unless you have engine stalling problem.Last edited by SparKot; 12-11-2014, 04:11 PM.There is no honest path to prosperity - KoKa

Karizma does 100kmph at 5000rpmOriginally posted by shubhamtiger2 View PostHow do one classify a tranny as short-geared when it has six gears?
Inazuma does 100kmph at 8000rpm!!!
Both at top gear i.e 5&6
That's shorter gearing,no. of gears has nothing to do with it.[/QUOTE]
Karizma touches 100kmph at 6600rpm
