    Appreciate the help, cheers!
#1 try removing the rvm and putting it back again, also iirc there are adjustment bolts behind the mirror area (to adjust the pivot point).. loosen them up and tighten them.. if doesn't help a new one.. because the glass per se cannot be replaced.
here is a useful video (its slightly different, if you own the old model rc):

#2 if your bike is under warranty, it should be done for free. bajaj itself provides the svc with a grey gasket sealant (dont use the red one), which must be applied applied after removing the valve cover (i've seen some smear it from the outside). the grey one which they use is for such specific purposes.. it sets to a rubbery consistency and doesn't harden/'dry' out like the conventional red rtv that many use.

Use Anabond 696 gray gasket or any other gray gasket. Don't use the red sealant, ever for sealing the valve cover. Remove the valve cover, make sure valve cover mate surface and the surface on the head is completely clean and surface. Apply a thin layer of gasket on the valve cover edges, also make sure you replace your valve cover rubber gasket, and torque it well it should arrest the leak. The key here is the right amount of torque the bolts are given. Loose bolts will cause a leak.

Secondly, if the glass itself is wobbling you can use silicone sealant and apply it around the edges to prevent it it shaking. Else, it's better to get the mirror replaced. Glue guns too work, but it takes a little dexterity to apply it without smudge. But, it can be done.

    Cheers!

Don't tape it. It'll look worse than you think. Let it be the way it is. You can also check for a mod video that gives more tension to the latch spring in YouTube. Check for KTM RC 390 latch spring change, and you will see a guy replace with a spring with more tension so that the lock stays in place and vibrates less.

So what I want to know is if this is normal in all RCs and should I go by what the service people said or did I just receive and badly put together unit? Any and all feedback is much appreciated as this has been bothering me for quite a while now. Cheers.

Hi. Sometimes the clip on handle rod bends due to excessive force (usually after a fall) and hence it almost touches the tank when turning. You can replace it. It will hopefully fix your problem.

    Cheers!

Finding the older model fairing and sticker is very difficult now, if you are lucky some dealer will have old stock. But all new stock fairings will be from orange/black color from the 2017+ RC200/390 series. You can try the white faring from 2018 RC200 but finish is more glossy compared to older RC's.

Will cost 2500+ taxes, stickers will be separate 600+ taxes.

just compare it with another rc390 at the showroom, and fix accordingly. we really can't make out much with just your explanation and eyeballing stuff textually

The bike has been rigorously checked and it is dead straight and there is no bending of fork or whatever. But there is a tiny nag. The clutch lever ever so slightly touches the windscreen if the handle is pushed to the extreme right. I am assuming it is a bent connecting rod on the clip ons?

Fixed it. The wires on the right hand side front mirror were being pinched below the screws. Had to remove it, fix it and put it back. Works fine now!

I checked voltages and manually wanted to jump a wire to force a connection too. And that didn't work either. Any other solution?
since you seem comfortable playing with the wires, why not try and connect another known working indicator to the right side wiring connector and vice versa
