The shift indicator will not lit up when you are in 6th gear, so keep a tab on your speedo. Try to stop the bike gradually with engine braking, downshifting from high to low. Keep giving some little bursts and let the bike to idle for 2 mins before start. Just my 2 cents.

I've seen the shift light on the 6th gear ( or maybe it was the rpm exceeding 7500 warning) will have to double check, I usually let it idle for about a minute before riding off during the first start of the day.

also after almost 10days of riding noticed some things,

      1. Heating is reduced, radiator fan kicks in less frequently than before.
      2. Fuel consumption shown has decreased for almost the same traffic on the same route.
      3. Palm pain while riding has reduced a lot, getting more comfortable now.

Will post more as i get to know her more.

There ain't no shift light in 6th, unless you have a seventh gear, to upshift. All you have is rev limiter which at 10.5 which kicks in a abruptly at around 10.5.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

          THE END

I was washing her today and noticed some rust on the chain, what do i do? will cleaning the chain with kerosene be good enough or should i use something else?
Rust might be because of the heavy rains since some days in mumbai. but still rust on a 2 week old bike? is it normal?

Wet weather causes some rust! Even my chain caught rust just a day after cleaning and lubing it! Nothing to worry! Just put some extra lube to prevent this from happening!

Ill post pics soon I'm out now, I think it might be due to the rains, she is parked outdoors and it rained quite heavily here last week, also twice i took her for a ride in moderate-heavy rains.

Rust spots in chain and disc is common due to weather or periodic washing. They will just go off when you lube the chain (not disc). I think you might be seeing rust in the side plates of chain links, if yes this is very common on most bike/chains, just make sure to dry wipe the chain after the wash and lube it.

Yes they are on the sides. Some on the rear disc too, i'll lube it as soon as the weather is clear, i dont want the lube to wash down in the rain again.

Did my first refuel after day 1 as the console showed low fuel level , poured 7.5 L got an average fuel consumption of ~29L of which 50% highway, and rest city with some start and stop traffic. Not bad i think

I have trouble shifting to neutral from 1, shifts easily from 2 but from 1 it takes a lot of tries before i find neutral, i thought gearshifts will be smooth overtime but they haven't, do anyone of you guys have the same issue?
