For the first time in my life I had “Ass Numbness”, I can’t feel my bums sitting on a couch after reaching home. I wish to punish the seat designer by asking him to ride the bike for 24 hours without break. Same for the handle grips, why would someone put acupressure spikes on a bike handle grip which is front biased?
          Vibrations:
Yes, there are vibrations, but I have lived with RX 100 and a Classic so I am amazed with the refinement in RC 200. These vibrations are not bothering me and I have to concentrate on vibrations to realize it, so I am very happy in this part “Hey! I have a vibration/rattle free bike at last!”
Congrats on the RC. Awesome to hear from and RX guy how the RC is.
Now coming to the seat wait for 2 weeks and then this seat will be the most comfortable thing ever , (for long rides <150 km buy cycling shorts which have padded butts they are swesome in the sweat absorption capacity).
The vibrations will subside after run in period, I have a RC390 believe me she was very harsh in the initial 1000 km , now @ 6k kms she is way smoother.
As far as the handle bar grips are , they offer more grip when riding with gloves since they latch onto the leather.
So would recommend getting some leather gloves.

          • joe_marvy ,, Congrats Buddy!!!

Amazing Share and Experience. I regret of me not having Such Poetic expression of owning a bike we love so much.. !!

Anyway Happy riding and Keep the thread Alive by posting Your experience !! actively.

Except the vibration (3 to 4 k RPM) !! every aspect of the bike keeps me happy at the moment.

            I have a question in General !!

How did bikers here complete the Run in Period quickly? was it a Long Highway ride or Continuous ride within city limits ?

Dusty condition in road - will it clog radiator and cause any trouble ?

Did anyone buy Power part Stickers for the bike , is it available now ? is it worth

i would love to know from people regarding the extra fitment they have done on the bike , like Frame slider or bar-end sliders etc and where was it sourced from ?

I have received my beast bike 3 days back and this is my first post on xBhp.

i currently own the brilliantly engineered Yamaha FZ16. Thoroughly fun motorcycle indeed for all practical purposes. After 4 years of riding it, I was constantly hungry for more power. Specially on long highway rides I would be begging to the bike to show some beastly manor. However there's only so much I could get.

One day browsing some random stuff online on a idle Thursday evening I stumbled upon the rc 200 and upon knowing that it shared engine with the mega mental duke 200 I was was sold instantly. I already had the hots for duke and here I was looking at this gorgeous super sport machine with same amount of power.

I consider myself an over thinker and over thinking I did over the idea of buying a super sport machine. Will it be comfortable, is it practical, it's so expensive and the list kept building. On a particular December afternoon while having a rough day at work and a messy personal life I decided to take the plunge and buy the bike to make me atleast get a grip on myself. Come Saturday I was at the KTM showroom to take a test ride. To my disappointment they didn't have the RC 200 and gave me the elder brother the RC 390. It was mental to the power 10, flick of my right wrist and it shot like an angry cobra. Every time I pushed the throttle a smile plastered on my face and I would be talking to myself - whoa is this even happening, how is it doing this.

Came me back to showroom with a lot of questions from my list. The showroom guy was patient and explained things to me in detail. I made up my mind I'm buying the RC. Had to go out of town so postponed the decision for a week but came back and without any other thoughts reached the KTM Banjara hills and booked the RC. The showroom guy though suggested picking up the duke quoting practicality. I didn't listen to him and thank god for that.

Began the long wait of 20 days for the bike to be delivered. Within this time there was not one video on the RC that I didn't watch and rewatch. This forum became my staple for all the late night and early morning reads. The last few days were madness because for 'practicality' I started considering the duke, my heart was still set on the RC. Every night I would change my mind to pick up the duke instead, even the CBR 250 started to lure me but thank god I didn't pay attention to all the stupid noises in my head.

And finally came the d day feb 4, 2015 I walked into the showroom to take my monster out of the glass cage. The 2 hours I spent there waiting eagerly to get my hands on the mean machine was all worth it. When I took it out on the street, all those stupid noises in my head about RC not being practical and uncomfortable were thrown in the garbage bin. I am 5 ft 8 and believe me this bike wasn't as uncomfortable as I imagined it. Coming from naked bikes riding, the RC did not seem awkward to me. In fact I was very much at home. I could flick the bike in traffic with ease and so could I on empty stretches.

Buying the rc 200 is one of the best decisions of my life. It's been 3 days and I'm riding about 40 km everyday just for fun. Keeping in mind the run in rituals I am very well behaved on the streets and taking super care of the machine. And the beast also rewards. It surprises me with the raw power and the always available torque in any gear I am in. Of course the handle bar could have been better and the plastic could have been higher quality but hey no bike is perfect, it's a matter of time one gets used to it and starts to enjoy certain things and ignore certain.

I look forward to being an active contributor on this forum and will be happy to help other riders with all questions.

Thank you Muthukumar. Today there was a mishap with the bike. I parked it in the lane next to Almond House Banjara hills and went to pick up something to eat. Within that 10 minutes the security guard dragged the locked bike. Result - He toppled the bike and the break pedal broke, fairing suffered bruises and so did the handle bars. I am so annoyed at that guy for doing this to my new machine.

                      awesome write-up bro..

congratulations & welcome to the sporty version of "mental" club.. :P

Congratulations & welcome to the sporty version of the "mental" club..

I also had a similar experience. I parked my bike in a parking place, reverse, so that it's easier to take out directly & the turn radius is not like the hero honda's etc, it's quiet long and you can feel short of space in cramped parking locations. I only needed a minute & by the time I went inside & came out of the shop, exactly 120 seconds!!! my bike was parked the other way that too along with the other splendors and passions!!!! and that guy simply walked away.. I really wanted to bash his face in.. coz it's extremely difficult to take out the bike especially in cramped parking spaces..

not only that, in office, I see people fiddling with her & have the f*ckin habit of leaving the bike in gear. I always have to check whether she's in gear or not before I start..

Lucky me, the bike won't start if she's in gear & the clutch is not pulled & the side stand's down... saved a couple of crashes that way...!!! it's becoming a menace with people simply fingering around..

the problem is that people think that they can do anything with any bike and that all bikes are same & end up like this.. I feel for you bro.. I've seen one such a case where a 390 owner parked the bike in a hotel parking, once he's back, the rear seat was torn!! the bike had it's fairings broken and all!!

I hope you gave that security guard a piece of your mind..

live long.. live happy.. that's the best revenge that can be served to the people who hate you..

I am gonna carry a cheap looking cover made of gunny sack with me to cover everytime I park at a public place so it doesnt attract much attention.

Any one changed the handle grip on their bike, any suggestions? The stock ones suck. Otherwise any suggestion on where to pick up gloves in Hyderabad. Saw some online but I wasnt too sure of the fit and finish.

Try to fit in a RC 390 handle bars.. those are slightly longer & will save your fairings in case of a fall..

For gloves, go to bike-o-pedia near Kukatpally. Heard it's a good place from a lot of people.
