why ? you din't get your second service done ?
If you are on the motul 7100, then its good enough for around 5000km.. you better get the oil changed asap.

For all those with brake noises, the first thing you should do is to pull out the pads and rub them down on sand paper.. rub in a horizontal and vertical direction and not with circular motion. Next, use the sandpaper to rub along the edge of the pad material at say a 45 degree angle outward.. it removes the 'sharpness' from the edges.
Finally hit your disc rotor with some brake cleaner/wipe with pure acetone, if not at least simply clean it with some water and dishwash soap.
And when you refit them pads..make sure they sit snug.

Second service is still a good 2k kms away for me now.. If I change the oil now, in another 1500 kms, those guys will change it again right...

The cause was not some nail, it was an Allen key 6mm size, the lengthy part was inside. I love admiring the bile after dinner walk, suddenly noticed a glittering in the tyre and found it.

Puncture was done in under 2 mins, bit charged 100rs. My issue is, is that protruding 2mm is needed? The puncture guy said not to cut that, it'll start to leak air, is that true? I have not seen anything like that on my Swift during puncture repair?

Don't know about the cost in Bangalore, but in Delhi same thing costs 50Rs, which I still feel is more than it should be. For this, I've kept my own puncture kit.

For the protruding part, he's right. Although it's usually a few mm, maybe like half a centimeter, but more than that you can chop off. It gradually meshes with the tyre and doesn't protrude any more. It won't cause any sort of handling issues, at least not after that part is grinded

I've also seen the same thing done on cars here when I got it repaired for puncture. Unless there is anything new in the market now, it should be the same procedure.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Oh, even your rc has the 7500km service interval?! I thought the first lots had a 5000km service interval.
Anyway you can get the oil changed now (at the svc with a job card created pls), that way you can skip it at second service without any warranty issues.
I am skeptical about the oil being good enough for 7500km.. i wouldn't push the oil beyond 6000km in a ktm(which runs hotter than most bikes of similar capacity).

That looks like a side wall puncture. It is usually recommended to not repair such side wall punctures (rather a tire replacement is recommended) as it might affect the tires' integrity/strength.
But I have seen a friend who had a similar puncture on his cbr150, and it held up well with this conventional repair. The excess plug if it was around the center of the tire would grind down to the tire surface in a few km (I have two punctures on the middle, which went flush with the tire in 150km of highway riding). But since yours is towards the side wall, it may not grind down flush with the tire, because contact of that part of the tire to the road is normally minimum (this was the case with the cbr150r, it still had the excess protruding after a few 1000km)

No its not a side wall puncture, moreover these low profile tyres have a very less side wall. The puncture is on the extreme edge of the shoulder and as you said it's not easy to gel with tyres anytime soon.

Few more day light shots for your reference.

Yes there is and its been around for a few years now. There's a MRF tire store in Noida who repairs punctures using a "mushroom patch". The tire needs to be removed from the wheel and the patch applied from the inside. But, it's the only kind of puncture repair i trust. You can find more about this kind of repair on the www...

That sounds great! But removing the wheel is another headache, ends up messing up the chain settings.

To me the piece of mind I get from it makes the extra effort worth it. A blowout at high speed or in the middle of nowhere is something I want to avoid at all cost. More than two punctures or more than one in the same quadrant means a new tire set for me.
