By the way, any adhesive which is good for die-cast metals won't work? Or may be gas welding?

If you are planning something as awesome as this, you better buy a good locking device my friend. I am planning to visit Kerala some time soon...Originally posted by vishnu.leo View Post

I might end up doing something similar. but not exactly the same. Anyhow leaving the bike in only two colour combinations orange+black. The orange alloys and frame make it really hard to match up other colours on the bike without looking like a punk kids showoff machine :/
By the way, thats a cool design they have on that seller page, will take a look at that and see wether that can be matched onto here [emoji28].

Beautiful progress mate! I just love that 'R' in RC 8. RC8 looks like having a shiny metallic finish, so the orange looks great, but with the matte finish on ours I don't know how the end results would be. All the best, keep us posted...!Originally posted by vishnu.leo View Post

Any updates? Have you checked with the SVC.Originally posted by Rollin_StoneR View PostA couple of days back while riding in the rain when i used the pass switch i felt a mild shock couple of times and now the high beam projector isnt functioning at all. any of you guys faced this issue??
I don't think adhesive or gas welding would work. Looks like your bike had a fall, if yes, was there any other damage?Originally posted by hackernewbie View PostBy the way, any adhesive which is good for die-cast metals won't work? Or may be gas welding?

No other damages...! I pushing up the bike and into the garage, was diverted somewhere else. Got dis-balanced and the bike tripped on the other side. The RVM took the entire weightOriginally posted by joe_marvy View Post..

Where did you feel the shock from ? clutch, brake lever, frame etc..?Originally posted by Rollin_StoneR View PostA couple of days back while riding in the rain when i used the pass switch i felt a mild shock couple of times and now the high beam projector isnt functioning at all. any of you guys faced this issue??
Take a torch light and inspect every inch of the wiring. Especially the earthing and for any frayed/exposed wires. Also pay special attention to the ignition coil/wire.
Also open up the switch gear and the headlight connectors and check.
If the high beam has fused, and you replace the bulb; there is a good chance the new bulb might also conk out if this shock you felt was related to the lighting part of the circuit.

I think he felt the shock from the "Pass" switch, it is plastic and has very less chance to give a electric shock. However, it was raining.Originally posted by s1d View PostWhere did you feel the shock from ? clutch, brake lever, frame etc..?

The mechanic adviced that I shouldnt keep the bike covered ! keeping the bike exposed will attract unwanted attention so I have stuffed the side vents of the fairing with some cloth.. shouldnt be a problem right?

DO NOT keep the vents in the fairing stuffed with cloth ! At least not while riding. This has known to cause heating issues/fire.Originally posted by Rollin_StoneR View Postwent to the svc today... the problem was a relay that was nibbled by a rat !

I had monkeys problem.. they jump and they made scratches on the tanks.. reason? the slipper matt finish on the tank plastic, they get scared of slipping down and use nails to hold on thus creating scratch marks!!!Originally posted by Rollin_StoneR View Posthaha yeah.. even when my bike is covered, a dog sits on the seat everyday.. guess that partially covers rat problem :P
