one guy had done it on the rc390, here is a link to his post:

I have no idea on the pros and cons.. i would have simply bought a duke, rather than do such a mod (well maybe for a few days if it was absolutely necessary). I wouldn't be caught dead riding such a bike. That's just me.. so don't bash me, you can go ahead and explore/experiment as you please if that helps you.
Maybe you could also explore options to raise the clipons to make it a bit more comfy ?

        my concern is..
how good using this slider with CNC bolt...
or some others advise use handle bar bolt...
means RC 200 bolt or common model with 390 model..
its possible crack or effect fairing once it down with bike..

Others trust worldwide online shopper, kindly share with me..really appreciate it..
        Thank you in advance..
There are R&G frame sliders and Evotech Frame sliders are a good deal. There are different frame sliders, cut and non-cut, though cut frame sliders offer extra strength, no-cut are a great option and are easy to install and looks good and what's widely sold. Plus, cut frame sliders require you to cut your fairings to make way for the slider reel which is another pain point.

Most of the sliders sold for the Duke are no-cut and are CNC milled products. They look great and offer good protection from mild slides to drops, but don't expect anything if the bike flings off and lands.

        Cheers!

Last weeek my bike refused to start suddenly around evening time when i was heading back home. then came a message that it has Low battery.
Had to push the bike and start it and then headed to service center next day and gave it for repair and full service.

          Things changed were:
          1.Full service -including oil change
          2. Battery was replaced - (around 2k price)
          3. Chain spocket set (2.5 k spare cost)
          4. AMC plan (750rs i guess). it will reduce service cost by some percentage depending on repair done.

Total expense was around 9200rs. spare plus labour cost.

Good i did not choose Kawasaki . that is only for rich people. except ninja 300 as of now.

i have done this mod it improves the riding posture by huge margin.
but handle lock will not work. you have to drill another hole to match the new lock position.
it may not look aesthetically good .
i have done this i am not aggressive rider so its ok with me. as that is my daily driver to office.

The RC200 features the same single-channel ABS with RLP setup that is seen on the recently launched naked sibling Duke 200 ABS, rest of all the mechanical components remain to be exactly same as with the outgoing 2018 model.

It is expected to get a price hike of approximately Rs.10,000 for the ABS variant. Official announcement is expected to happen soon, with bikes having already started reaching the dealerships.

This makes the Duke 250 the only bike left out in the KTM India lineup to not have a ABS model as of yet, this should also be announced in the upcoming month.

Now after checking and doing some research on motorcycles available in our country the KTM RC 200 is the one I want to drive, question is will I be able to handle it? Im 5'4 in height and 57kg heavy.

I'd strongly recommend you to get yourself accustomed to riding a motorcycle such as RC 200. Mainly for two reasons. Firstly, due to its supersport position nature, i.e, the aggressive seating posture, thirdly the power itself when upgrading from a scooter. Now, the question you can handle it or not comes not just from one aspect, rather from different set of aspects, starting from; seating posture, how comfortable one is accustomed to a sporty riding stance when he/she uses it as a daily commute, how well one intends to see the bike, as in luggage friendly, which definitely the KTM isn't unlike a scooter which are grocery/sundry friendly. How nearby or how serviceable the bike is either with a nearby SVC or a local garage. How well one is focused on mileage with maintenance expenditures vis-a-vis a scooter, this will in case double or in case triple when dealing with a KTM.

But, you get the thill, the pride, the form factor, and most but importantly you learn something new, which is far better than a few generalistic cons of owning a comparatively expensive two wheeler.

Also, do invest in a proper set of riding gears; helmets, gloves, and a good quality armored jacket along with the bike.

              Hope it helps!

Hi, am a RC390 owner for over two years now and i am looking at getting the RC200 as a backup bike. But i haven't really followed this bike on forums or online. So, i have a few questions:

                1. Are the front brake pads the same as RC390. Will EBC FA606HH fit?

                2. Are the brake and clutch levers the same as RC390?

                3. Is the rear shock the same as RC390?

Get the head bearing and triple clamp bearings checked
Check for any bends in the fork, alloys.
Check for uneven Front Tyre wear
Check if front disc brake are not rubbing when not engaged
