Hey all, not sure this thread is still active. Is it making sense to buy a used er6n now? Last time when I was checking Kawasaki maintenance here in jayanagar, felt insane. I am sure, I might need to find an external service people. I would like to understand, how much ownership cost changed between 2015-16 to 2017-18.

Sorry guys ! Couldn't update and keep up with the stories of fellow bikers past few months. Work hazard [emoji39].

Recently I ve been a bad boy doing some research on accessories on aliexpress. Finally after months (actually 5-8 weeks) of wait ... Got some VFM and useful stuff when lohttps://[IMG].../ATTACH][/IMG] can make my bike more attractive. Will update once installed.

While on the lookout to buy a pre-worshiped Z650 I came across your ER6 N for sale. Currently I ride a HD Street 750 which may get sold in a day or two and was wanting to buy a similar torquey bike. I first considered the R3 / Ninja 400, but coming from a HD, I am sure that these bikes wouldn't satisfy or compare to the torquiness of the Street 750. The Z650 seemed to be the best bet I had, but there seemes to be very few pre-worshiped Z650s in the market and what ever there is, the asking price is high.

Now coming to the ER6N, I am sure they share parts with the Ninja 650, so parts replacement and availability would not be a concern I presume. What is the service intervals and cost per service on the bike. Another friend who rides a 2015 Ninja 650 was saying he pays around 4k for a regular service, which includes engine oil change and regular maintenance. Also, what is the company specified intervals for a service? Is it 5000K / 6 months, which ever comes earlier?

Most of the parts shared by the 650 cousins r the same except the flaring. Oil filter is shared between the 650 and 1000 !
Coming to the service cost and interval , your friend is right ~ 4.5k. The Kawasaki folks use Motul engine oil (grade not sure). I m not satisfied with the service tech in Kawasaki/KTM (that's how Kawasaki was tied up when I bought mine). Those guys can't even adjust the left and right mirror with common sense if finding opposite threads !!! This was happening in front of my eyes while I went in for first service. I m a mechanical hands on person and I started doing oil service myself and made a small garage in my farm house with all the tools one would find in a Kawasaki workshop. Now I spend ~3000 every 5000 kms. I use oil filter ordered through amazon india, shell 100% synthetic oil and K&N Airfilter (which can be used for more than 50k kms by cleaning with compressed air during oil/filter change. Since I use synthetic oil, 6 months margin is not a worry (Mineral/semi-synthetic oils need to be replaced every 6 months).

Now that I ve the Ninja 1000 in the family! I feel at home [emoji1]. ER6n is resting peacefully [emoji38]

i have a 2016 ER6n, I have been looking out for an aftermarket full exhaust system for my bike. i wanted to buy Yoshi but since it does not come with 02 sensor bung (i dont want to buy a new exhaust and drill a hole) i had to go with my second choice AKRA. Now the problem is, where to get it? The cost difference between USA and INDIA is close to 11K (checked in revzilla), i have ppl who can carry it from USA, But do i have to pay DUTY for it then? Ignoring the 11k difference i thought of buying it here. There is one available in bikegear.in for 65K, but i am not sure if it is legit. Can someone help me out here please

You can either get it to India as personal luggage to get out of duty worries, or can get it from bikegear.in as they are reputed re-sellers of famous brands. Also try with performance racing team. They too might have it. Before all, check with Kawasaki showroom. For example, Mumbai showroom has the akra exhaust for sale for new Ninja 650. Afaik, it should fit the old N650 and ER6N, but dont take my word for it, confirm with them.

Thank you so much Ivin, So if we get the full system as personal luggage they wont charge me duty??!! that is awesome . I did inquire with our local Kawasaki, they are quoting me north of 85k (way too much). So bikegear.in is a reputed re seller eh...!!! hmmm... thanks again man.

Guys, i finally got my akrapovic full system from bikegear.in. What you hear in youtube is no where close to what you hear in-person. Bike sounds mean and bassy. I will write a full review of it when i get more time. As of now just some random pics.

What about a ecu tune? I don't think it's wise to run a full system without getting your ecu flashed, or is it one of those exhausts which is compatible with the stock map? Even soo your bike won't be at its full efficiency.

I have just purchased a pre-owned ER6N 2016 model. It has frame sliders installed. but i was thinking of fork protectors, knuckle guards, full system exhaust, EBC brakes, and if any recommended accessories for the motorcycle.
Please help me out with any recommended suppliers or dealers. Looked upon some online portals like Bikegear, Motousher etc..
need some expert recommendations as this is my first higher cc motoycycle or superbike..
