Not particularly for ER6N, as I am owning N650R, brakes are same in both, and on the ABS I feel if you have not used them you won't like them either in your bike. Definitely these are big bike and often in emergency situations you may apply brakes in a prompt second bringing bikes from very high speed to standstill and locking will prove dangerous, but if you had practiced enough on these before accelerating to higher speed and is not in generally a panicky type you will feel that non ABS brakes are better.

I had a near escape on NH8 recently when I was cruising on 90 (It is break in period of my bike) and a truck suddenly cut me off from right to left and I swirled to left most corner to save me on to the gravel and engaged brakes without clutch or down shift but as I did not panicked (I always expect these things will happen on Indian roads), I slowed down and was back again cruising. May be it was due to lower speed but on gravel speed does not matter, your mantle state does.

Anybody from delhi ncr please guide me regarding
      1. Cost of er6n and 650f 2015 and showrooms you guys bought it from
      2. Hows the maintanance and service schedule..
      3. Approx cost of ownership per year?
      4. Cost of spares and waiting periods if someone has ever needed them?
      5. Average fule consumptio (dont hate me -_- )
Any help would be greatly obliged.
I would advise, you visit South Delhi Kawasaki, meet Mr Saubhagya he will give a cost estimates and will advise you correctly on first point.
Service schedule is at every 6K, after first service at 1K, cost is usually around 4500 to 5 unless you are going to change for some part e.g. a clutch plate. Spare parts are costly but reasonable in comparison to other such higher capacity bikes.

Per Year cost? Well I guess depends on your mileage as I mentioned above, you can then calculate on service charges plus, you would be doing some regular maintenance your self like chain lube and cleaning at every 500KM, polishing etc, plus cosmetic changes which you would try to avoid but would not as bike looks so lovely in person that you would find yourself shopping for her more often. I had spent roughly 20 to 30 K on mandatory accessories and it is just started I guess.

Avg -- , don't get stuck in a traffic jam brother, traffic of Delhi NCR in peak or festival time won't let you drive for even 10 KM for a litre. Otherwise economy on stock setting is decent around 20 in a combination of highway & city. Mine returned around 18 before first service in first 800 KM.

Welcome Navneet, specify what is troubling? Getting used to is a long process in itself and depend on what did you expect out of this bike at the first place. By the way, I am also new to x-bhp and a new owner of N650, good to hear on your proud possession. Happy mile munching ahead.

Thanks "dnewguy" and "Newbie650". Nothing as such but general lookout on the bike. Haven't had any problems till now(hope it stays like that). I bought the bike because i wanted to upgrade from my Classic 500 to a faster bike. Initial feel of the bike is "pure adrenaline rush" and love overhearing and seeing the curiosity on people's faces when it stops on a signal

Yours is a non faired one so a general lookout for her will not be much of a problem. It require same attention as any other bike towards chains and cleaning etc. Rest will be taken care by service guys.

A word of advise: Install radiator guard and frame sliders as early as possible if not done already.

I ordered from Redline, Radiator Guard for Kawasaki Ninja 650, ER-6n

Currently showing out of stock, the quality is decent as I have read earlier many have used the stuff and it fits perfectly fine. Call their customer support they may be able to help with the availability.

Sorry, no idea on Karol Bagh. I don't prefer shopping there unless an expert choose to help me personally.

got myself an R&G radiator guard from redline, set me back by Rs 6000. Currently looking for a splash guard. Have not been able to find one till now. redline guys also don't have it. does anybody have any idea about where to get one? Will the yamaha fz splash guard fit on this one?
Any suggestions for a horn replacement?

Didn't know they were selling other brands too regarding radiator guards, as I too bought from them, but that was their own product, which costed me around 1.9k, 2 months back. For the horn, you can just replace it with a Hella or Roots dual horns which are available at all local bike accessories shop and can be fitted there itself, they are basically twin horns resembling like the stock horn itself, but don't go for the windtone one, the one which looks like a trumpet, as water easily can get inside and that would be the end of it. Regarding the splash guard, I haven't thought of getting it, so can't answer on that.

P.S. For the twin horns to be installed, I got them installed facing opposite directions, one below the other. Check the picture below.

Thanks Kanth for the advice on the horns. Some more queries. Which horn are you using(brand and model)? Both the horns got fitted on the same place like the stock?Does it require installation of a relay? I dont want to get a relay fitted because that will involve fiddling with the electrical wiring. I am looking for a splash guard because riding in the rains becomes very messy as the dirt from the road flies off the tyre on to the pillion seat. Infact i noticed that my bag also gets splashed. Monsoons are here for sometime, so looking to get a splash guard to end it once and for all.
As for the radiator guard, i went to the store and met the owner himself. He said that R&G is the best you can get in racing accessories and the one's on the site are the chinese ones which were currently out of stock.

IMO, dont spend too much on those things. Get yourself a good quality plastic mud guard of the same size from any biking stores, drill holes on it and screw it to the existing mud guard. You can get it extended to any length you want to and remove it when not needed. You wont spend more than 500 INR.

The horn brand name is Roots Smartone, and yes they have been fitted in the same place where the stock horn was, only thing extra needed was a clamp to hold both the horns and no relay was required. The whole process took less than 10 minutes to complete. I got it fitted at the shop where I bought it. Usually, those shop guys when you inquire about Roots horn, the first thing they will show you is the windtone model, which I had said in my previous post to not go for that, the one I am using looks just like the stock, but sounds more shrill, kind of how the Pulsars sound.

Guys, need a little help. I think i am facing a problem with my ER6N. In the 1st and 2nd gear, i feel that i am getting some jerks which normally one gets when the clutch is about to go bad. Is it a clutch problem or its because of the high power of the engine?Anybody else facing anything like this? The bike has completed 1800 kms on the odo.

                            Hi guys,

The bike will complete 2 months in another 10 days, ODO already nearing 3000. The everyday rides to office have become a lot more fun. I really look forward to ride the kwacker as much as i can. All that said, i experienced something really surprising in the recent ride on the greater noida expressway. I was riding and decided to check out the limits on the kwacker and i could not go beyond 175 km/hr. I have seen other kwackers crossing the 200 mark, but mine did not even touch 180. Can somebody help me understand why it happened? One of the explanations that i could figure out was that my kawasaki z series riding jacket was a behaving like a wall, not allowing the bike to go further. I am saying this because the kind of pressure i was feeling was not funny and this did not happen the last time when i touched 175(was wearing a windcheater that time). Am i right in my inference? Or probably i did not do it properly. Do you need to redline every gear to be able to touch 200, because i kind of raced to 6th gear and kept pulling in the 6th only to realise i am out of throttle play. Can somebody help me with this????

If you are sure you were in 6th and not just maxing out 5th gear (j/k ), try crouching, bum far back, chin close to the tank. It makes all the difference. Aerodynamics is the biggest resistance beyond about 100kph.
You don't need to redline all, max out from 3rd.
Less weight helps, but pls don't try such speeds with just wind cheaters.
6th gear could be overdrive, so the bike may never max out and will take long time to reach peak speed. Give it time and space.

I would say wind blast also could be the reason since er6n is naked bike so wind blast would be on higher side.
