    Hey guys,
    I gave my bike for a throttle body and spark plugs cleaning. However, the mechanic messed up and the bike is not starting now. I get an error h:07 dta31 on the dash. Here is a video of when I try to start the bike.



    Can anyone help me with this?

      Hi All,

      Need urgent assistance. My RS 200 (Manufacturing: Oct 2015) was sitting idle for last 2 months and couple of days back I tried starting the same and couldn't get it fired up. Tried with a new battery, no go.

      Got the same checked up from the mechanic and it was identified that the fuel pump (connected to the bottom of fuel tank) has stopped working. After few trouble shooting steps the motor started to work but it did not throw the fuel through the nozzle. That part is not available at workshop or local part retailer.

      Can someone guide me on the same and also share the parts catalogue for RS 200 (BS 3).

        Does your bike make a keech keech sound while trying to start? I mean with the older battery does the headlight, display n all work? It's either a burnt magnetic coil, or fuel pump relay has gone kaputt, do check both of them, had the same issue on my cbr, changing the relay sorted it.

          Hey guys.

          Got my RS200 a new pair of shoes today. It was about time i changed the old stock ones, though had no punctures at all, were almost bald(rear especially!)

          Got a pair of Pirelli Angle CT(Angle CiTy). These are the pirelli tyres for the sub 300cc sport tourer bikes and is the affordable brother of the famous Angle GT.
          The costs are:
          100/80/17:- 2800/-
          140/70/17:- 4400/-

          I dint go for the MRF masseter due to the dealers here asking us to remove the wheel from the bike ourself and they only fit the tyre on the rim. The cost and transport effort narrowed down any price advantage the masseters had!



          More details are in the Tyres Thread section but ill post a couple of pictures. Regarding the tyre performance, One word, OUTSTANDING! the stock tyres are beaten in most departments and that too by a huge margin.

          Fingers crossed they last atleast 15k km without any punctures, something which the stock zappers could be proud of!

              I had gone on a trip to Ooty with my friend as my pillion. The bike was serviced 150 kms before the trip started And everything was fine. I noticed that when it was too cold i.e. early morning or night time when I would switch on the bike, the RPM meter would not move at all. Plus the light on the instrument cluster also was not working. So I thought it was maybe because the 'bike' had gone cold. I switched it on and kept the engine running on neutral for some time. Suddenly the instrument cluster came back to life. It has never happened before with me and happened every time during the trip when I was starting the bike after a gap of more than half an hour. Is it because the battery is old? I've covered around 15.5k km in the last two years and there are no modifications. Now that I'm back from the vacation, the issue has not come up again.
              Also, is it time to change my tyres? In the last 2 weeks my reat tyre has gotten punctured twice. This too has been a first experience on my beloved RS. There has been no offroading done and have mostly ridden it to work at 70-80 kmph?
              Finally, I'm planning to install a set of auxiliary lights? Is it a good idea? How much will it affect my battery considering it already has started coming up with issues.

                I am doing the same on my bullet from last 55K, all is well. but dont forget to lube it after cleaning.

                  How are you all cleaning your chains? Mine has started making a weird sound whenever I accelerate. I lube & clean my bike chain regularly.

                    There can be two reasons for this: Either the battery is weak or the terminals have carbon deposit. If there are starting problems in morning, the battery is weak. If the bike starts fine, it is either carbon deposits or loose connections.

                    If there are punctures, you need to go for mushroom type puncture sealing done from inside of tires. That is the most perfect way of sealing punctures. The plugging of punctures from outside is just a temporary solution. I wont recommend getting a new tire just because there were two punctures. Take a look at the overall condition of tires to decide if you need to buy a new one. One last thing is to check if there are minute punctures on tire because of which air is leaking. If the pressure is low, the possibility of a puncture increase greatly.

                      I use kerosene to clea the chain and Motul chain lube to lube. Is the chain too tight? There will be vibrations near the foot rest if the chain is too tight.

                      It has never happened before. It just happened once early in the morning. Otherwise it's fine. One more thing, whenever this happens, the time on the instrument cluster gets reset automatically. It's quite annoying to set the time again and again.
                      Regarding the tyres, A puncture shop had located one very small hole made by a pin from which air was continuously leaking. I'm planning to get the tyre removed and get a thorough check up done. I was asking about new tyres because I wanted to get a general idea as to when should the tyres be replaced. My tyre treads still look good though.

                      The chain seems okay. It's been happening for sometime. The thing is the noise even comes when the bike has just been serviced and the chain has been placed appropriately. It hasn't caused any issues but whenever I'm riding, it's quite irritating to listen to that noise.

                        Keep a watchful eye at the battery warning light on the instrument cluster. If it starts glowing, leave everything else and run to the svc. I learnt not to ignore this warning the hard way . Otherwise, it should be good to go (minus small irritation). If the issue persists, check the wiring. Reset usually happens when there is a short circuit somewhere or if the battery is weak and start button is used excessively.

                        If your tyre treads are fine, you can wait for sometime. Get the puncture repaired using the mushroom type plug from inside and you're good to go. Replacement totally depends on your confidence level with the tyres. I would say around 20k km will be a good time to start thinking about tyre replacement.

                        Regarding the chain noise, do you get the noise even after you clean and lube it yourself? If the chain slack is ok and it properly cleaned/lubed then the probable cause can be the O-rings being worn out. But this is just my guess and cant say for sure...

                          Its called the Koso RX2N/ SS182. Its just a Chinese replica. Planning on getting one but its seems to have compatibility issues.

                              Yeah its very minimalistic. Its around 30% smaller than our stock speedo. Also it can change its LED color (Which is the only reason why I want to switch. I dont like blue.)

                                Nice! The gear indicator is something we don't have on the stock one. Apart from the looks, are there any other changes compared to the OEM one?
