Just went to check the bike out here in Bangalore Wheels, Rajajinagar. They are keeping the display bikes (both black and blue) in 1st floor.
This is what I felt. My personal opinion, no offense to anybody or discouragement to buyers and prospective buyers, or just being a negative nancy.
This bike doesn't feel and look premium. I felt the R15 standing next to it looked better and more R6-like than R3. The fit and finish is good, nothing great. There's play in plastics around the knee area, the matte plastic and gloss plastic on the tank wasn't properly flushed in and the switch gears feel slightly better than what's there in Duke/RC except the turn indicator slider, KTMs have a little up and down play. The turn indicators aren't rigidly fixed, betting it would go up and down when you go over a rough patch. The quality is nothing that couldn't have been manufactured in India. The quality matches that of R15. The levers are absolutely amazing, no play at all, though they aren't adjustable. And, the blue paint on the wheels seems too glossy (might be because the showroom guys polish the sh** out of the bikes) and gives it a rather "cheap" feel.
These might seem like nitpicking but when you're considering to buy a bike with, I'm sure a great 321cc engine, but nothing else going for it except Yamaha brand. No ABS, no slipper clutch, bland looks (subjective), definitely not the best handler and at a price tag of 3.84001 lakhs on-road (Bangalore), these will be at the back of your mind.
Also, the starter motor sounds like a Royal Enfield Classic 500 starter motor. The exhaust note is bass-y compared to N300 but only slightly.
Some pics I took. (Excuse the bad quality, this is no professional camera but a mid-range phone's camera)

The bike's seating position felt uncomfortable for me (6'1), just like CBR250R, my ankle was at max upward position, felt very difficult to shift the gear up and to just rest. Some pictures of it (sales guy didn't focus before taking a picture, sorry for the hazy image). Wanted the pegs to be set a little back with forward slant (This is highly personal, some may prefer this), N300 felt absolutely fine though just like the KTMs.

The switch gears.

Very nitpicky picture.

But hey, it costs this much.

Again, my personal opinion.
I'd choose N300 over R3 without much hesitation. It looks better, has a premium feel (when you are paying premium), and with some goods like slipper clutch, more tank capacity, big bike feel. TBH, TNT300 seems to give more premium feel than R3.
Now to some positives of this bike.
1. Definitely the engine, a Yamaha twin is sure going to be good no matter what and finally when you are riding, that's what matters, you don't keep checking for niggles in fit and finish when you're on the road enjoying the ride.
2. The bike look absolutely deadly head-on and from the back. Not so much in angles.
3. Bike's light and can be pushed around without much hassle.
4. "Technology you ride is the technology we race." with Rossi and Lorenzo picture is sure to give a positive energy and pride. (Though this bike uses nothing that's used in MotoGP, even R15 beats this bike in terms of features.)
5. Yamaha brand. With the engine and riding dynamics (from what I've read on the Internet), this bike deserves to be sticker-ed with "46" instead of on Dios. :P
Finally, all the negatives may vanish when I ride the bike, but as I said, this bike could've been easily manufactured in India, priced it a little low, kept the quality almost same and even provided ABS.
Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS to those who own the bike. Please don't feel bad or angry (on me), this is just my view and you know all these doesn't matter if your heart beats for this bike.

its like a jet taking off. dont nitpick anything there though
. Ninja300 indicators are something they should have kept as benchmark
