Re: Yamaha YZF- R15 S Owners Reviews and Experiences
If you're chain is getting rusted, use kerosene to wash the chain with a tooth brush and make sure you clean the chain thoroughly first. Then, wipe the chain dry and make sure you use gear oil and make sure it's lubed well. The reason it's getting rusted is due to the water quality and the roads that it is running on. The key is to make sure the existing rust is cleaned off well, and the chain lubed well. Too little lube will cause rusting given the right circumstances.Originally posted by rahulrajan14 View PostHi ! Last one week back , my bike ODO reading was 4000 km . So I cleaned the chain and lubed it very So today I went to the shop to foam wash my bike . After washing it I saw so much of rust on the chain . Hi Rahul,
How've you been? Can you confirm which lube are you using? Also are you sure that there is rust coming off and not just general grime?

So those brake pad shim/backing plates were available as a separate spare or do they come with a set of new pads? or was it removed from another bike and installed in yours ?

You can go ahead and ask extra cushioning on the Front and back with Pinned seat availability. This has multiple color options but to be frank you wont feel comfortable after extra cushioning as your Legs wont lonk with the Fuel Tank to actually get the experience on road.

Re: Yamaha YZF- R15 S Owners Reviews and Experiences
Surely lets see if they solve it or bluff me . Whatever be the outcome , I would post photos of what they have done to the rear braking platform with the bike. Lets see how is the treatment of the bike.

if your brake pads came with the shims/backing plates then you should definitely be using them. sometimes they (pad backing plate, the metal spring clips) get lost and can be a pain finding them individually.
Let's hope they fix it properly, and do let us know the final outcome of how/what they repaired/replaced it.
about 'action' being taken on the svc guys, nothing will be done to them.. they will continue their monkeying

Good job man, very very few people do take up their complaints professionally in writing to appropriate authorities, many are happy simply ranting on social mediaOriginally posted by sunnylovesalman View PostThe CEO/MD Yamaha India Corp personally called me and sent his message to the local Authorized Seervice Center from where I received an apology yesternight . They came today morning and collected my vehicle from my Garage and have taken to the service center. They would get the entire set replaced FOC and deliver the vehicle to my home by today evening.
I am havinfg 17 years of Corporate experience and i think I am well connected and can solve these issues at this level. The SC guys who did this would be looked into for misguiding Customer and estimating the budget to Rs.11k for caliper change and fork change.
Thats how you deal service center guys in INDIA.
