Initial pickup is better in Jupiter as compared to duet or maestro. But after that running is same. Jupiter is more louder. Jupiter has some part as metal body where as duet is full metal and weight 6kgs extra.
Under seat storage is more in both duet and maestro i can fit in my full face studds rhyno in it, though not the smk. Under seat space is around 21 ltrs where as in Jupiter it is 16ltrs.
In duet and maestro tank and seat opening is operated from the ignition key slot where as in Jupiter u have to put the key near the rear part of the seat.
Breaking is equal in drum variants but Jupiter has option for disc break.

I have researched all this as I recently bought Maestro edge on 15th of this mont and bought a Jupiter last year for a friend.

Hero provides 5 years warranty on all its two wheelers without any extra cost that is a plus.

Update on fourth service: Done at Sehgal Auto riders Pimpri Pune. ODO 6700KM. Nominal servicing done. Oil changed. Had asked them to replace rear wheel size 14 nuts which had slipped. The lady filling the job sheet had listed it, but maybe their mechanics are Anpadh. Anyway scoot was cleaned and breaking and throttle tuned. Bit better breaking and throttle response after servicing.

The issues I have after these many kms: 1. Fuel lock is bit jammed, does not pop out with key, needs a bit of push. Maybe it's security feature. Lol.
        2. Front plastic piece where number plate is attached vibrates like an old Ill used scoot. The svc center guys fixed it, but after a week of riding Pune's potholed roads, it's become loose again and has started vibrating.
        3. Slipped nuts on rear wheel - if it gets punctured again, I'm going to have to remove the wheel using Size 24 spanner. I bought one Stanley branded ring spanner online for this. Going to have to carry it on longer rides.
        4. Left side mirror has lost its neck. Don't think it's covered in warrantee. Thinking of taking it out and fixing it myself one day. Sigh...
        5. The assholes at Pratibha Motors have replaced the plastic around speedometer with older one, which looks shitty. We did not realise it back then being new buyers and unknown of SVC's trickeries. Btw who does shit like this? Anyway I don't mind it much, wife gets every time she sees it n curses.
        6. The engine still vibrates at around 50kmph. Let's see if it goes away by 10k. I'll probably sell this and get a four wheeler by then... Much safer on Pune's roads.
So overall not any big deal breaker, but still not great.

Completed 10K kms and 1.5Yrs of ownership of the scoot. Since scoot has done about 3000 km from last servicing got fifth servicing done at Sehgal Auto, Pimpri, Pune. The gearbox was leaking oil and so the service person noted gearbox overhaul along with oil change. The service cost came out to be about 750 thanks to 18% GST.

Servicing was done well and they resolved couple of small but very irritating issues. One was the fuel filler cap won't open up automatically using key-fob. We used to need to press on it and then push-turn the key-fob. Turns out the plastic covering around the cap causes the cap to stuck when unlocked. Second small issue was one of the plastic holders of the front plastic part where nameplate is attached was broken. They have replaced it so it does not vibrate. Previously I had put in a small piece of the scoot's mat near left edge to stop it from vibrating. This jugaad is no more required. Also looks like they have fiddled with carb settings, pickup seems to have decreased. Lets see if it helps with mileage or not. Fingers crossed.

With this servicing I have exhausted the free services. Going to have to spend for paid services at ASC or find a local mechanic. So instead of taking risk with local mechanic I have gotten a Hero Joyride membership. This costs 1075 Rs and gives you 4 services in a year. The advantages are 30% less labour cost, 5% reduction in oil cost. Don't think its any kind of actual advantage, but what the heck! Lets see how it works out!

Next report at 20K kms if we keep this one around that long.

P.s. Had a chance of riding a friends Jupiter for 2 days. It's done 80000+ kms but still going strong. And kills Duet in every aspect!

I have heard people say that you can use Jupiter's rear suspension on Duet. But better to have it confirmed from some knowledgeable mechanic. Because Jupiter's wheel size is 12inch vs Duets 10inch.
On my duet the rear suspension was slightly hard till two months back. That's about two years from purchase. But Pune's potholes have killed it. It's become soggy now and scooter feels unstable with single rider above speeds of 60kmph on rough roads.
Still it's not giving us backpains, so not totally gone. I guess we will stick with it for now since both me n wife don't ride over 40kmph thanks to traffic and potholes!!

Try the new Burgman street 125 if you are looking for change. Same smooth engine with wow looks and more space.

I think Burgman looks are too sporty and aggressive for my liking...i wud rather go with TVS Entorq for sporty looks... but to me the retro looks of access are just fine

Fellow Duet owners, I have one query regarding engine characteristics of Duet BS3 version after long term ownership.
Our Duet BS3(2016) is still as vibey and roary as it was when we bought it. Specifically things vibrate at around 50kmph and then 70kmph onwards.
Somewhere on internet I read that Duet engine gets smoother after 10K km. But ours has reached 14K now and there's no change.
So enlighten me with your experience.

p.s. As per some people Duet BS4 is much smoother and my observations on highway etc are similar. Any comments on that are also appreciated.

It's more than 2 years, and finally this month the scooter has completed 20000km.
Observations in last 6000km: Accelerator cable broke and had to get it replaced. Then recently Carborator jammed and scooter started accelerating with no throttle. A local mechanic cleaned the carb and fixed the issue. Otherwise things have been good. Average has remained constant at about 40-45km per ltr. It's seeing about 15km running daily. No startup issues. battery is holding fine yet. Since it will complete 3 years 3 months later in Nov'19, I think the battery may crap out any time. Lets see how far it goes.
                            Otherwise it's been solid.

Mine is Maestro edge 2017 October model BS4, and it is also unrefined there are vibrations. I have ridden older maestro the one with older body type and engine and found it to be more smooth and refined and built quality is also very in that one.
The guy who use to service mine at the hero service center (recently closed[emoji17]) also told me that older engine were more refined.

Buddy, has the refinement improved? There are a couple of bs3 duets ( initial batch) in my area which have refinement issues. The bs4 ones seem to be better.
