Had planned to do some maintenance work myself, Bleed brakes, change pads, change sparkplug, clean throttlebody and injector. I did all except the throttle body.
I removed everything to access throttle body till the airbox. Then i really couldnt figure out how many bolts hold the airbox, and i thought it was really getting complicated and i gave up. Can someone guide me further or direct me to some video or guide ( I searched a lot in youtube almost all was on older d390 and the rest not explaining properly).
I found one bolt next the rear shock which holds the airbox but i think i had to remove the footpegs to access that and then i stopped it. Given the lockdown and nothing much to do, I am planning to go at it again and it would be great if someone could guide me properly so that i don't mess things up.

This is how the bike was after removing all stuff.

Air box bolts aren't complicated but if you take a little time to observe, it can be easy, unless there are hidden bolts. Start off by loosening the throttle body to air filter manifold flange clamps, and then work your way around the air box. It would require some wiggling, but make sure you're careful in doing so. That's the best motivation I can give you here. I will let you know if I find any YouTube videos regarding the same.

      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Thanks so much bro. I did succeed in my next attempt. The bike has become way smoother at lower RPMs, but no improvement in mileage as such, as well as the starting trouble.

                Nice job!

May I know what did you use to clean the Throttlebody? Also did you clean those sensors too by removing them?

                Thanks

You can use Petrol or Throttle Body cleaners. Usually, Petrol itself is a very efficient solvent in de-gunking the deposits on the throttle body and the butterfly valve. The trick is to soak the parts well in petrol then start scrubbing using a toothbrush or a small painters brush, the latter works out very well, and the throttle body comes out spic and span. Wurth and STP carb cleaners are great choices. I would strongly recommend Wurth.

Great. Do keep us posted on the detailed steps, after you're done. Now that you have access to manual, if you can tabulate how it was done, would definitely help other fellow DIYers too.

                  Cheers!

Thanks VJ, what about those sensors, how does one clean them? Isn't carb/TB cleaners too harsh to be used for cleaning sensors? Could petrol be used to clean them as well, If not what are the alternatives?

                    Thanks

Throttle body and carb cleaners basically are one and the same, though the harshness differs. Both do the job of cleaning it well. I for one, would trust plain petrol for cleaning the TB as well as sensors -- albeit be careful while cleaning the sensors, dropping them or hard impact will and can make them faulty. Exercise special care when cleaning the sensors and equally cautiously installing them back. Don't worry about any alternatives Srvn, stick to STP Carb Cleaner or Wurth Cleaners, if you can't afford them, petrol is the way to go, for 250, you can get 3+ liters of petrol which is enough to clean the entire motorcycle.

                      Cheers!

                        Or any website, insta page?

Not able to find any good. Wrapandride has nothing for Duke. [emoji52]

Weird but I'll give it a try lol.

                          I have Orange Duke 390.
So the side panels of tank are orange.

Anyone whose got white tank panels looking for exchanging?

I need white and if you need orange it's a deal. [emoji28]

Hi guys!! my Duke 390 2017's TFT display has been acting weird now a days. It works fine when i turn it on in the morning. When i turn the ignition off and on again, half of the display goes black. This happens even when engine isn't turned on. I've given it in service centre and they don't know what's wrong with it. Anyone else with this problm??
