    Re: 2017 Duke 250

    Post first service update:
My first service cost me 1600 without chain lube because I had it.
After first service, I noticed that the gear shift which had gotten smooth over time, again became hard due to new synthetic oil. The exhaust note seems a bit more louder and has more grunt. The engine also has less stress at lower rpms (around 3000) and it feels lot smoother now at higher rpms (above 7500). I'm planning on a 1000km ride, if that happens, I'll post the condition of bike after the ride.

    Happy riding

Needs your opinions. Thanks.
Would not recommend that commute for a service tbh. The Duke is not Unreliable per se, but it has some issues that comes with new batches of bikes. Test ride both the bikes before you make the decision.

Get the chain tightened as per recommendation.. It should solve your problem.

Regarding the sound appearing in certain rpms it's because the front sprocket causes jerk to the chain in certain rpm and that sprocket jerk causes the chain to hit the swing arm
Some tinkering to do with the chain then. Thanks!

I would suggest you to learn how to open clean and replace from the service guys as you can do it yourself. As each time it rains... The sound will come again.. [emoji14]
    Thanks a lot

I don't know if it's guard but I'm getting that sound while going through potholes and also the squeaking sound is present even without braking. Sorry for my inability to describe the issue accurately.

I haven't yet tested bike much on high speed, but on low speed brakes felt just OK.
