Cons - It gets annoying if you are the type that cruises on higher gears at low speeds and you want to take off without downshifting. Makes you feel like it isn't a 30 hp bike at times.

Re: 2017 Duke 250
Yes, there is a lag. Pros - i find it quite useful in bumper to bumper stop - go traffic. makes the bike a bit more usable. My old bike was a C500 which had twice the torque and it felt untamable at times.Originally posted by Xothana View Post

Re: 2017 Duke 250
This thread is not so active, is there any other for duke 250 owners.
Btw, those who have experience pls share on my thoughts here, fz25 and its low end torque is much more suitable in city traffic then D250, and this D250 has a lag somewhere around 2-4rpms.
Pls comment and share ur experience

Get rc 390 you'll never get bored.Originally posted by puru16 View PostHi guys, need some advice.
I currently own a FZ25 2017, it's 9 months old. Kinda getting bored with it and looking to upgrade to Duke 250. Will it be worth it? I am a little tight on budget, can spend upto 80k + what I get for my bike, which leaves me with two options (I suppose) i e, dominar and Duke 250. Need some honest opinion. Thanks!

Depends, In terms of feel maybe the dominar would feel different, but in terms of performance there would not be a significant difference in both options imo. If you want a proper difference, you should jump to the 390..

If you are upgrading because you got bored with FZ25, then the best option is Dominar. Regardless of whatever reason may be, Dominar is a good upgrade for FZ25.Originally posted by puru16 View PostHi guys, need some advice.

Re: 2017 Duke 250
Apart from the sarcasm noted by other bhpian, it all comes down to PowerParts. PowerParts are usually almost always orange in color. It's just a matter of individual taste, so he she can upgrade and make a clear statement, that he is a power rider. Just kidding.Originally posted by Xothana View PostExperts or those of you who knows a bit about it please answer this.
I thought the front fork oil seal is suppose to be orange in color, but mine an many others is all black, what is this suppose to mean?
Cheers!

Orange came on the initial/demo vehicles and might be a 'power part'.
What you mention as the oil seal is actually the dust seal, the actual oil seal sit behind this. There shouldn't be any difference in it's utility/performance due to the color difference.

Re: Duke 250 under seat noise
I hear this too with change in helmets. On a LS2 i hear nothing, but this is hear on an old Vega.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostGentlemen I have a small question. I just brought a new d250 a couple of months back and am experiencing some kind of noise when riding the bike on top a small speed breaker or a pothole. The speed is very slow somewhere around 10 to 15 km/h, 2nd gear. And there goes a very plasticky soft thump from under the tank or seat. The chain is set optimally and all the nuts and bolts even from under the seat are quite secure. Suspension is set to 5 clicks. No tools box under the seat. The sound seems to be coming from under the seat, maybe the tank not sure. The mud guard and tyre hugger are secured nice and tight. Wiring under the rear seat are also secured. On smooth roads not a sound, but as soon as you start hitting undulations and at low speeds you can hear that soft plastic thumping sound as if something is loose. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ThxLast edited by strahl7; 05-17-2018, 11:42 PM.
