I have ordered the roller stand you mentioned. I had seen that earlier on Amazon, but it's cheaper on the website you mentioned.

regarding your 3rd point - paddock stands are heavy and certainly not portable. Best option is Wheel Roller for cleaning and Lubrication and also it can be used in front tyres, you can roll the wheels aaram sey and can clean your bike and moreover its very portable, you can carry it with yourself on long tours.

And it's cheaper then Paddock stand. Below is link to buy one for yourself:



And on your 4th point - As your bike is new and if you are not riding under dusty conditions then it's not required as the SVC guys will do in your first free service, however if it's raining at your location than you can clean your chain after completing 500kms and rest will be done at your first service.

After the first service as the service interval increases, you can clean the chain in btw 800 to 1000 kms interval.

Lot of investment on cleaning the chain is waste of money because chain doesn't cost a bomb and it may last for long by using minimalist price products.

My method of cleaning and chain lasted for good 25k kms & more..you can use kerosene or disel which is easily available at very cheap price, a used toothbrush or if want can buy proper chain clean brush. First dip the brush in kerosene/disel rub it through chain properly and after that wipe it with clean clothe and at last use your chain lube and leave the bike for an hour as it will help the chain to soak the lube properly and drop the extra lube on the ground..

Chain Lube you can use : Motul is the best, 3M Lube, Tribocor

Hey guys, first of all I'd like to thank all fellow owners on this thread, as your posts helped me finalize this sweet beast.

I got mine complete with the license plate on 1st Sep with 3 yrs zero depreciation insurance for 2,06,467 INR (after I had booked it with complete cash payment on 19th Aug 2017). God that waiting period felt so damn long. And I am enjoying every moment riding it now.

I have some questions:
1. Is it critical or otherwise necessary to get a radiator grill/guard for the bike? (It is not a cheap accessory in any case, approx 2699 INR)
2. How critical / value for money are the front fork sliders / crash bobbins? (the cheapest I found online were 1499 for a pair)
Also any pointers as to where I can get these for cheap online or somewhere in Mumbai would be appreciated.
3. Is it worth getting a paddock stand for it or are there other alternatives to make tasks like cleaning and lubing the chain a bit simpler?
4. How soon after you purchase the bike, should you think about lubing the chain?

So, I removed the tyre hugger for a while and promptly reinstalled it. It does a bang average job, but it does kind of help in keeping the mud from flying up to your seat and back. If anybody is looking to remove it for anything other than looks, dont. Not worth it.

Just spray some water on the scratches and see if they disappear if yes than they are clearcoat scratches and can be fixed with rubbing compound if not consult some professional detailer or some other alternatives if available. If they are clearcoat scratches then just view some channels before using the compound or consult someone on the forum and i would advice to prevent further scratches like this go for some paint protection like 3m ppf or alternatives and it seems they are on tank where our belt gets rubbed if i guessed right then you can put some high quality tank pad.
