Re: Yamaha Fazer 250 - Ownership Experience Thread
Congratulations on your new motorcycle! So we got another one in the break in period. Paint looks nice. I thought black would be matte.Originally posted by burnoutdee View PostHey there friends,
I am back to Xbhp after a long hiatus. Since last year I sold my Impulse I was riding around on a Scooter sorely missing occasional long tours. Also, because of certain commitments I was away from Xbhp, the play-ground of true blue bikers but i am glad that i am back here now with my new Yamaha Fazer 250, i will take the delivery of this tomorrow.
Looking forward to connect with like minded, passionate bikers once again!

Congrats Brother ☺Originally posted by burnoutdee View PostThank you Neo, it's a good mix of Glossy & Matte on body work.
Hope you have a blissful ownership experience. In January I too was juggling between RTR 200 Fi & Fazer 25 but ended up buying Dominar. Personally I like the way Fazer looks but I really wish it had 6th cog for relaxed highway cruising at triple digit speeds. Anyways enjoy your new ride [emoji106]2005 HH Karizma [SOLD]

Congratulations for ur Dominar & u have a great experience too brother! Hope u bought the new 2019 version. I wish it had 6 gear too but I heard it has tall gear ratio so that might help a bit n there are rarely any bikes with 6th gear under 2 lacs. Never liked Bajaj to be honest n i was quite skeptic about Yamaha too till FZ n Fazer25 came along...these are 2 mild versions of their wild bikes.

Re: Yamaha Fazer 250 - Ownership Experience Thread
Thanks Brother. Actually 2019 Dominar launched a couple of weeks ago and it was not available in Jan so I bought 2018 version. But I have no regrets as the 2019 model cost around 2.15L here which is way above my budget whereas I manage to fetch 26K discount on 2018 ABS model (I paid 1.70L onroad)[emoji16]Originally posted by burnoutdee View PostThank You Greymatter.

Re: Yamaha Fazer 250 - Ownership Experience Thread
Got the bike and have been roaming around a bit. Didn't get to ride much but only 20kms in bylanes racing engine at varied RPM. Last time I rode a bike was in end of May 2018, then I got Suzuki Access & now this Fazer. Being a 250cc engine it's a different animal for me altogether, not that am intimidated of it but the idle speed, the grunt & engine sound at different RPMs kind of give me uneasy feeling, I expected it to be as silent & smooth as Scooter maybe. Impulse was super smooth without vibes, this doesn't have vibes to complain about but engine is bigger n powerful n it does make its presence felt without any doubt. I guess it's just me nit picking...Ride quality is no doubt as good as one can expect, I believe the more I'll ride it the more I'll understand its nuances. I will need u folk's assistance n guidance to embrace n enjoy this new experience.
Thank you!Last edited by burnoutdee; 05-01-2019, 01:52 AM.

Well the engine of Suzuki Access is ridiculously smooth and very few bikes can match its refinement level. Yamaha engines are usually very refined, give your bike some time, after crossing 1K KMS you can except the engine and gearshift to become further smooth. I've a suggestion though, get your first servicing done at 500 KMS and once again change oil yourself at 1000KMS (use Shell/Motul 10w40 oil).Originally posted by burnoutdee View PostGot the bike and have been roaming around a bit. Sure Access is the best scooter & i also believe in only these 2 brands of oils that u suggested in fact I ordered 4 cans of Shell for scooter from Amazon but dealer sent Motul. I will surely get it serviced at 500kms now only worry that I have is of service center mechanic, as they have tendencies to screw up the experience big time if one is not actually involved or watching them over while they are working on ur bike.Originally posted by Greymatter View PostWell the engine of Suzuki Access is ridiculously smooth and very few bikes can match its refinement level. That's a beauty, obviously everyone will help to the best of their ability. When I wanted a bike, Yamaha didn't have these bikes with ABS and their exhaust had issues. I've heard that's changed. Where are you from btw?Originally posted by burnoutdee View PostGot the bike and have been roaming around a bit. Didn't get to ride much but only 20kms in bylanes racing engine at varied RPM. Yamahas are well known for their engines if correctly taken care of. It'd be a good idea to keep an eye on the bike while it's serviced.Originally posted by burnoutdee View PostSure Access is the best scooter & i also believe in only these 2 brands of oils that u suggested in fact I ordered 4 cans of Shell for scooter from Amazon but dealer sent Motul. Thanks Neo...I waited for Honda n Hero to come up with something but Yamaha seems to be more customer oriented than either of 2. This is my first Yamaha, looking forward to enjoy its Ride quality. Ah I'm close to Delhi-Chandigarh area. Used to live in Mumbai back in 2010. Does your bike come with a centre stand?Originally posted by burnoutdee View PostThanks Neo...I waited for Honda n Hero to come up with something but Yamaha seems to be more customer oriented than either of 2.
