  • Re: TVS-NTorq 125 Ownership Thread

Mine is almost 11 months old, clocked 4300kms. From last one week it was having missing issue, which will appear only after riding 6+ kms. Yesterday onwards it was getting off when you leave the accelerator, and on low rpm silencer sound was saying, it was struggling. Today went to service, and found choke was gone and replaced it in warranty.

Seems choke issue is common for ntorq. I never had cold start issue though.

I think I will pay and get the choke replaced in the next service.
I'm thinking to replacing ntorq with KTM Duke125. They seem to have similar mileage numbers.

got delivery of my ntorq, love the sound of the scooter. Wondering what helmets fit in the ntorq's boot space. None of my bike full face helmets fit. Is there any model of full face helmet you guys know that fits in there ?!

            Hey Guys,

I brought my N Torq(matte yellow) around 50 days ago. Its nearing the first service very soon, unfortunately haven't been using it as much and it has done around 300kms as of date, any pointers towards the first service to be taken care of.

I am facing one big issue that is starting it up in the mornings, i prefer kick starting it, and it takes almost 20-30 kicks, sometimes even more to start. Post that i don't face any issues. But the cold starts are a pain, any pointers towards the issue. Also the rear Tyre got deflated within 10 days of usage, and it was due to a faulty air valve, got it replaced at a local puncture shop and it seems pretty OK now.

Also one more issue with respect to connectivity of the phone, while using navigation, it seems to disconnect during the process of navigating and its very irritating to connect again and again, anyone else facing similar issue?

Phone connectivity is spotty on this. I don't use it at all.
Don't kick, use the electric start. The scooter will start in about 40 seconds.
If you use it everyday, it won't present you with this starting problem.
But leave it for a day and it will fail to start. That's TVS for you.

Anyway, just make sure to take a video of the starting problem and share it with the service center. Else they will not believe you.
Nothing else is there to check. Just make sure they also change the gear oil and not just the engine oil.

Yeaa..i dont use it on a daily basis..not my first mode of transport hence gets out only twice a week..they recommend using the kick starter for cold starts..wont using the electric starter make any issues or drain the battery?

Sure will look our for the gear oil change.
                  Thanks buddy.

I've been using wego for almost 10 years and never faced a cold start issue and it cranks up in a single self start. I guess it's the problem with autochoke which ntorq has.. The weird thing is the chokes suppose to help in the ease start but I just don't get it.

Surprisingly shocking as my new ntorq is failing in the cold start where my decade old wego is just doing fine [emoji52]

How much does the Paid service cost. I'm due with the First paid service and wanna know how much it will cost. Is it reliable to take the Annual Maintenance Service plan?

Guys I have sold my TVS Ntorq 125. It was a good Scooter but It gave me back aches which I could not withstand.
I did the 3rd free service last Saturday and it cost me 440 Rupees with Oil Change.
Apart from the starting problem it ran very well for the 11 months of ownership.

                            Hello all,
I have my eyes on the Ntorq and will get it sometime next month. Wondering if the Combi Braking system be made available on the Ntorq anytime soon?
Per the new rules all bikes under 125cc need to have CBS.
Since my wife will be the primary user of this bike, CBS would be a good to have feature from a safety standpoint.

                            Regards
All riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

Chances are that they may release it in ntorq as it's got the highest sales in fy18 in the 125cc scooter segment.
Cbs won't be possible on a scooter that has one disc and a drum brake.

Thanks for getting back. ABS is mandatory for bikes with 125cc and upwards. Having ABS on the Ntorq would be great.
Regarding CBS not possible for a Disk/Drum set up, well, I was under the same impression. This was till Suzuki went ahead and installed a CBS on the Access 125 with a Disc/Drum combo.
