Technically yes and no! I always do this tankfull to tankfull thing and it's always above 39kmpl on average same on the on board computer as well.
How do you use the tankfull method? Do you fill up, use for 100 kms and then fill up again?

If the dealer said he will be providing March manufactured bikes then those bikes were made before the Price hike.

      3. As for insurance, you can opt for Bajaj Allianz (with Drive Assure Silver package addon). This is a Zero Dep policy. So basically if any accident takes places, 100% will be covered by the company. ALso the Silver pack includes Engine protection so if engine gets damaged, that will be covered as well. In addition to that any consumables used during repairs will be covered as well. So its a No tension full cover package.
Unfortunately no, that's not how it works. You pay whatever the price is when you are actually picking up the bike irrespective of when you booked it.

What's this engine protection A new bike will have a warranty that will cover the engine. And a regular insurance policy will also cover any physical damage to the engine in the event of say an accident. For example, I've seen a couple of ktm's with broken engine cases and repairs were covered under insurance.

edit: just found the t&c of this silver pack https://www.bajajallianz.com/Corp/co...ure-silver.pdf
interesting yet confusing.. like any other insurance policy

        Hi All

The prices for the bike has been revised silently to 2.23 lacs. So from 2.05 it has reached to 2.23 lac in no time.
It seems rc and duke 390 are more vfm now.

Man thats unfortunate. I dont think thats fair that they can just update the price of the bike after booking it.

As for the engine protector part of the silver pack: Policy extends to cover the consequential damage to the internal child parts of the engine of the Insured Vehicle arising out of water ingression/ leakage of lubricating oil and/or damage to gear box of the Insured Vehicle arising out of leakage of lubricating oil due to Accidental means.

I guess its more useful in areas that are prone to floods?

I asked the dealer for the breakup and found dealer is charging 650 for registration expense (flag day etc) and logistics/handling charge of 5007!!

Anybody here has a connection with TVS rep I could get in touch to verify and hopefully get this taken out?

On-road quoted is still 2.13lacs and doubt they will raise the prices everyday. The higher amount quoted must for some other state that was higher than 2.05lacs earlier too.

i checked with SBM motors, chennai. The on road price quoted when the Ex-showroom was 2.05L is 2.32L.
Now with the increase of 8000 in Ex-showroom, definitely the on road will be around 2.42L chennai. Definitely not so appealing when we have KTM very close to this.

Yes, I was seriously considering Duke 390 at one point as it's great VFM at least on paper but got discouraged after reading about the maintenance/quality issues many owners were facing. Plus the city drive ability of the RR310 is supposed to be much better.

But agreed, TVS is really rubbing everyone the wrong way with the waiting period, price hike and poor buying experience.. Hope to negotiate some reasonable reduction today..
                Cheers!

Dhiraa's the dealer I used to book my vehicle.

After a bit of persuasion with them and a couple of calls with the TVS sales team, they agreed to provide the vehicle at the older rate - 2.05L!

Anyone else who also booked at the earlier rate should not give in easily if their dealer insists in the higher price. The TVS sales team is thankfully keen to honor the original quotes and keep the buyers happy and will provide support if some dealer is not being reasonable!

Just got a call from a fellow owner. We had met at the service centre. He had come for PDI when I went in for service. We had exchanged numbers. His daily run is around 60-70 Kms. He just called me and told that his engine seized and the gear is stuck at 4th gear. He has called up TVS for towing. It's been 4-5 days since his purchase. Really sad to hear. Awaiting further communication from his side as to the reason for it. He told me that he has been riding for 17 years but nothing like this ever happened to him.

Ouch! That's got to hurt deeply. I'm sure TVS will learn from this. Hope the owner isn't made to run around like a mad dog to get his due.

We don't even know what has actually happened!

Last time i saw an owner was shouting for the downshift pops saying his RR310 had engine issues. Just saying.

You dad works for TVS, iirc. Does he have any knowledge on the wheels, which brand alloys are used for the 310?
