    Re: TVS Apache RR310

Kawasaki was getting too expensive to afford and though I did think of getting a bigger bike, I chose this because of the limited time I'll be spending on saddle and investing in a 600cc right now wasn't a great idea.

    Booked in December with SBM..
Though they overshot the initial date by a good two months, the experience with them was good. The delay is not entirely their fault though.

what runs and what doesn't all depends on how the bike has been wired. so varies from bike to bike.

e.g. on the ktm, if you kill the engine using the kill switch while the fan is running, the fan will also shut off (but you can continue to operate the indicators, brakelight). and do you know that if the headlight switch is on and the bike shuts off, the head light stays lit if the bike is moving iirc at speed > 5kmph.

and remember the fan running without the engine running (in turn the oil & water pump not running) will only cool the coolant in the radiator. with the engine running you have the oil (which also does some amount of cooling duty) circulating as well as the coolant circulating thru the water jacket and into the radiator (hot) and cooler water from radiator being pumped back into the engine.

What did they say? I've not heard or faced this stalling thing that you've mentioned. I've tried replicating but failed. Only thing i noticed is if the clutch disengaged even by 1mm the bike doesn't start on gears.

Stalling issue being reported by some in the internet. could be related to particular batch. Have to wait for the TVS action on this.

Mine is 23rd feb batch! Maybe 1st batch may have had that issue but then again we never know if it's because of the clutch engagement.

clutch disengaged means you are pulling in the lever.. so if the bike doesn't start while in gear with the clutch lever pulled in, then the culprit could be the clutch switch. cleaning it with some contact cleaner or replacing it might be worth a try.

Or maybe it needs adjustment? This adjustment, seen many do it. SpecuaSpe guyd with half clutch.

sure, first adjust the free play of the clutch lever to spec (usually 3-6mm on most motorcycles)
there is no other clutch adjustment normally.

you could also check/compare with another bike at the svc if they also exhibit similar behavior.

                    Hello everyone.

Finally I got my bike yesterday from solar tvs bangalore. Delivery service is not that great since there are less sales person and my sales guy was very busy all the time.
Also on road is 1k higher than other showrooms(2.675) but still I didn't get IND no plate where other showrooms told they will give But excellent thing is I got my bike within 50days of booking.

                    Lets come to the bike

                    Pros:
Good road grip: here in Bangalore it rained couple of times and my street is full of mud but she handled it like a pro

Big bike feel: It is not just the feel but the stability is great

City ride: when I took the bike from showroom few km I felt difficult to ride in the traffic as I am just 164cm and 55kg
But today I rode around 80kms in Bangalore traffic, no issues at all, bike is very stable you just guide it rest she will take care.

Console: Fully loaded very useful. Best fuel indicator so far I have seen. One very useful thing is it shows consumed fuel also

                    Cons in my bike:
Vibrations: I have to check with showroom for this issue. It is too much now

Rear Break abs: Rear ABS doesn't feel right. When i was hard on break it skids for noticeable amount of time and break lever repels very aggressively

Suspension: It is really really hard. May be because my weight is less but have to check with service guy

Did i read you got the bike yesterday? If yes then please wait till 1000kms.

My bike was more or less gruff, so much smoother now!

And the abs calibration is such, abs doesn't intervene immediately. It kicks in late. (Isn't that a nice thing?)

                      Which bike you migrating from?

I got it on Friday 16th March. I had RTR 160, completed 60k kilometers and also used to ride R15 a lot. Ya its a good thing to kick in late but isn't it should be little bit more responsive like it is on front brakes?

Can the high beam be adjusted? Right now I feel it's going up somewhere. And not really on the road.

All beams can be adjusted, be it high or low. Do check your owners' manual for more info, there should be a provision to adjust your beam throw.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                            THE END

It says you can adjust and shows an image. Please find attached below. But I am not able to figure out which part it is. Probably just below the headlamps, between the radiator and the headlights?Click image for larger version

Just below the lens. You'll find two golden rings, which rotate. Those are the ones you looking for.
