Dude!! Cbr250r has speedo error on a huge extent!. Its doesn't go 160!! Now don't show me the stupid yt videos unless its gps or vbox tested.. its refined cos it makes less power!!... Simple as that.

Errr, CBR250 does 155 on the speedometer. Around 145-150 kmph on GPS. Don't know about the 310rr.

Guys, I believe some poeple are taking it very personally. I own a Cbr myself and quite happy with it. Compared to the piece of mind and quality which Cbr offers, I believe it's quite cheap to maintain. Well that's apart, I had a chance to drive with a fellow friend of mine who have rr310. I had a tough time to reach him in acceleration, specially in a range of 90-120 km per hour. I do believe it's a great bike, with respect to the parts price list, I believe it's on higher side. Well I would like to see some good ownership reviews here.

Here is the video of vbox tested top speed of r15 https://youtu.be/HS4h8PnbAUw

Thank you for proving my point. Even in that video you mentioned, the rider decelerate way before the top rpm. he drove in a congested road & stopped the throttle due to traffic at 10k rpm.

My point is further accentuated by official yamaha video of r15 v3. the speed of 131 is achieved within 9.5 k rpm. There is plenty of rpm is left till redline at 131 kph.

And in this video the rider is past 11k rpm and when the speed shows 150 kph.

Even if you subtract the error 7 km in your reference video, the bike still manages a 144 kph which is very respectable considering its 155cc segment. And if you think official yamaha video is biased, then there is no arguing with you.
Using ROFL emojis and typing *facepalm* doesnt strengthen your arguments, facts do. Talk about attitude.
Damn, people in this forum need to chill out. This forum used to be a useful resource for me. i bought my 1st bike after reading all of your shared knowledge. i am gragteful to this forum. But now a days this forum is slowly turning into youtube comment sections. if some one share a criticism, then suddenly some people get offended. As many of the members here said, i should stop replying to some people in this forum.
Disclaimer: I am not a yamaha evangelist. i am a proud owner of rr310. I am just trying to justifying my point. Mods, I am sorry for littering this thread with r15. i wont talk about that hereafter.

Constructive criticism is always welcome.. but the non-sens ones are not.. dude if u really believe that r15 can do 150+ then there literally no point of arguing with u!!. Seriously.

Hey guys, i need your help again. I am slowly learning the basics of motorcycle. I read twist of the wrist vol II to improve my riding skills. I can follow all the advise in that book except leaning in corners. I just cant lean in the corner due to fear that i will low-side. i know the tires will hold me. But at the last second i chicken out. My friends say if i dont lean, the tires will wear unevenly & lead to frequent tire change. If there are any veteran riders, pls share some insights to control the fear. How did you overcome that?

put a 2 teeth smaller sprocket and it will hit 160.. the point it the speeds are synced with RPM. a cbr does 155 on meter however if i put a smaller sprocket at front it will even do 165 however the real speed still stays 148-150..

the real data prood can only with a GPS logger. you will find numerous videos like this and can be made easily. R15 does max of138 kmph as i last remember.

the tyres will have chicken stripes ( extreme end of the tyre unused) however it does not make the tyre unusable.
if you fear a low side start practicing in open area in shape of 8 and that will give you both side practice.

its only time which will hone your skill however never try going corners at high speed as you don't have practice and do not practice in heavy public roads.
rather start at isolated clean areas and keep a check.

makes sense. there is no wrong or right. its just these days i have seen a trend of folks getting pleasure out of posting top speed videos and sometime to get more likes they do mods and fool public.

                                cheers brother.
