Check 3M / Liqui Moly products on amazon. They are good. Owned and marketed by international brands.
Use them only once. Dont repeat for few thousand kms as you are using more. Don't use them regularly.

You can use Liqui Moly / 3M Flush. Both are good. Pick the best one, you think is right.
Check offline shops. looks like they are cheaper there.

Get a can of chain lube or something similar to WD40 and use it on moving parts like, Locks, TCone, chain, gear levers, brake lever, side stand. Your bike should be good as new.

Give your bike the following.
One fuel additive. Use more.
One early oil change after 500 to 700 kms. Use an engine flush.

You are good for another 50k kms.

Usually its done when we have any issues with power??? Noraml period is 25000 kms.. mine is 47 still don't go for decarbonisation.. If you have any issues with power or starting trouble or carburetor related issues go for it..

I guess it's burning out because of sudden spikes in current. Just get it checked with a good mechanic.

Hello guys, have you people used any aftermarket brake pads for the front disc? If so which brands are available?
And usually how long does the stock brake pads last? I changed my stock pads at 10k kms and changed it to oem itself and now 5k kms done it's almost worn out! Any suggestions?

Guys i bought a Philips Halogen bulb for my rtr. The bulb gone at just 150 kms of usage. First the Dim goes out and then the bright. The bulb is 35W. Any idea why this happen? Should i continue with the stock bulbs or go for another one?

Guys, i want help tuning the carburettor of my rtr.i have experience in tuning other bikes, but this is weird. When we fully tighten the fuel-air mix screw, the engine has to start dying. But, my rtr's carburettor's fuel-air mix screw when fully tightened, the engine doesn't startchoking or anything. It just revs at the set rpm.
Why is this? I want it to be tuned properly. So is this normal for the Ucal carburettors?

I never trusted the SVC from before. I stopped giving my bike to SVC as soon as the free services got over. I do the service myself.
The SVC people don't anything special that one can't do on a sunday morning. Only, if there is some serious "warranty" problem with the bike i give it to the SVC.
Anyways, congratulations on your 44k kms on the odo. ;P

My angel has completed 44000 kms. She was servicing all the time in SVC only. I was satisfied with their service. I got a friend in SVC and he was the one usually looking after her. The last service was not satisfactory as he resigned. The bike's mileage reduced to 25-33 kmpl even if i ride under 60kmph. There were so many problems like forks lost the feel, rear brake not functioning well, loss of power etc. Therefore i decided to service the bike outside the SVC. My friend who was in the SVC agreed to take up the task. He changed the oil (this time tried Motul semi synthetic), replaced the fork oils, replaced disc fluids, replaced the headlight with Philips, cleaned the carburetor, wash and polish, chain clean, lube and tight. The service cost me Rs. 1400/-.

The bike is in good condition right now. She got the power, brake, forks is good and the mileage has been increased to 40-43 kmpl. What is amazing is the smoothness of the engine. She don't vibrate too much till 106 kmph as she used to. Don't trust the SVC guys. I approached them for corn set tightening and they said i have to replace the corn set. I got it tightened from a local workshop and no issues faced so far.

The TVS tyres which i got when i bought the bike was bad, the rubber was horrible and the grip was weak on the road, if the road was wet.
I would be moon walking on the road(even with ABS), irrespective of air and nitrogen and it would be hell with a pillion.
The new factory tyres you get now are better than the old ones, at that time there were no factory alternatives so Michelin.(After serious discussion with other apache owners).

Issue is not with Nitrogen, you need to understand the properties of it and the conditions of your tyre.
Nitrogen is Cool by temperature and better suited for Summer, Spring and also best in case of any punctures as nitrogen is heavy by nature.
Your rear slips because your tyre is cold and not warm, to grip the road.
You need air during the monsoon so the tyres get warm.

Plus bigger the rear tyre in terms of width the better you can take a turn and at better speeds.

Warm tyres better grip.. Cold tyres and you slip.

Thank you, why did you have to change the tyre so soon? Like only 10k? Did you upgrade? Or did it wear out?
