    • <farfromnormal> The akra sure looks hotter than the two bros in my opinion. But i guess its much more expensive as well. Of all slip ons that i have come across the yoshimura looks the hottest by far. Retails for about $450-500.

<bluevolt> i was at khivraj too around the same time your bike was getting serviced, i wish i had known u were there, would have met you for sure

        • Are bike loans available for this bike? And in which banks?

And i have relatively little experience riding bikes. I learnt on a RE Machismo 350cc and have been riding that for nearly 6 months now. I feel very unsteady on lower cc bikes, though i found the R15 to be good. But the recent disappointment in the 2010 Auto Expo about the 2010 R15 left me not wanting the Bike. So, i'm looking into other bikes and the 250R is too tempting to be ignored. So do you think i have enough experience to handle it?

Ninja is very easy to handle, even if it is your first bike, so don't worry about that! I don't know about loans from Bank, but Bajaj has a finance scheme - I read about it in the other Ninja thread on xbhp...

Bajaj is offering finance however I found it to be expensive. HDFC is offering a better option, I have a contact there but thats for Bangalore.

Yes, at Khivraj near the flyover. The probiking showroom has no servicing facility, and currently serves as no more than a display room, though I can't say about future plans. Even the invoicing is done by Khivraj and not Bajaj.

its is the same in Mumbai, even if the bike is booked at Kanjurmarg pbk the invoicing and servicing is done by Shreeram Bajaj at Ghatkhoper

                          • Ok, I thought that khivraj didn't have a very good reputation. Are they like the default option for bajaj because they have a monopoly in the region?

Unfortunately, in most cases they always start off well with the after sales servicing but within a year or so they start slacking off. I sincerely hope that this is not the case with Bajaj and the ninja. I guess this issue plagues most people who own some sort of a vehicle, one needs to resort finding a reliable mechanic. We need enthusiast workshops

P.s. Silly me ! Bluevolt and all other ninja owners, congrats on your new steeds

I was around 1.5 lakh short and wanted to clear it off within an year so these are the options I got:

                              Bajaj finance
                              downpayment : 135965
                              installment :11875 x 18 installments
                              rate :12.50%
                              Total Amt paid :349715
                              OTR :310665
                              total interest paid: 39050

Bajaj offers finance for min. of 18 months

                              HDFC Bike Loan
                              downpayment :166277
(add apprx. 6000 as quotation showed OTR as 304735)

                              installment : 15735 X 10 installments (2 advance installment)
                              rate :8.9%
(Rate is 10.5% if you do not wish to pay advance installments)

                              processing fee : 5066
                              total :323657
                              OTR :304665
(add apprx. 6000 as quotation showed OTR as 304735)

                              total interest paid: :18922

Now if I have confused you ... u may call Mahesh (HDFC) @ 9886237649 for more details.

Though I didn't go for any of the above options as a personal loan suited me better.
