      Hey everyone,

I have suddenly started feeling something wrong with my N250. 15000+ kms now. Last week, it started getting heated up, though I was not riding in traffic. But the temperature bar did not go into the red zone. But in the last three four days, I have started feeling the heat, which is abnormal.

Another issue is, yesterday, I felt the engine knocking in the first gear. That's the first time. It doesn't happen every time though. When I pull from a stand still in the first gear, it feels like knocking. No problem in any other gear. It doesn't stall either

Also, the lights seem to flicker(like in an AC circuit).

      Attaching two video links below.

Cool, do you have a photo of the grill before fixing?

I am due for the third service in another 1000kms. Right now the oil level is fine but looks dark brownish. Had changed it at 10000kms
Could it be a chain slack issue?

I do not think it the engine oil issue. couple of checks as in : try refuelling the tank with any super or premium fuel from either Indian oil, BP, HP or shell. i had a similar issue with the knocking whenever i fill with BP petrol pump, i switch to shell premium and the knocking is gone.

as per the headlight flickers it the same with all the ninja 250 and 300. it is the design case as below 3000 rpm it will flicker and above that it becomes constant.. tested couple of other bikes at the service center for the full proof confirmation.
                RIP Marco

Thank you vkuchhal. I filled fuel from a different pump incidentally and noticed this problem immediately. Will revert back to the old one and check.
Thanx for the headlight update as well, thought my battery was dying, touchwood!

                  Regards,

I would say ninja's are kind of very sensitive to bad fuel.. .

The stock batery usually lasts 3- 6 yrs depending on how often you use the bike.

                    Glad to help you.
                    RIP Marco

Went out for a short spin and ... voila! Everything is perfect. Did not experience any knocking.
This is the 5th year running now and I ride the bike 4-5 times a week. It starts on the first attempt, so I guess its fine at the moment
