IS THE KARIZMA-R ANYWHERE COMPARABLE TO NINJA??? I MEAN IN ANY DEPARTMENT DOES ZMA-R CAN STAND IN FRONT OF NINJA.

IS KARIZMA-R TOO A RESPECTABLE BIKE TO OWN LIKE A NINJA???
Yup in touring... the zma is a good touring machine... and with the new ZMR, its better... performance and running wise, the ninja is faster/better, but the ZMR holds its own...

      • paid in full

poorer by a couple of lakhs - paid in full today. Hoping to get the bike within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks to Bluevolt - I was convinced to go for the green tail covers and thanks to a good friend, they will be coming soon. Picked them up for about 5k and shipped them to a friend in the US. Saved about 2.5k in Shipping.

Now the only thing pending (other than the bike) is the black rear seat. Was wondering if it is worth buying a complete seat or just get it covered by a good seat maker. I am tempted to get this done at Khajanchi but look forward to some advise here.

Is anyone aware if Kawasaki sells just the seat covers?

Or - any Black Ninja owner wanting a dash of green on his bike to make his bike look nice:-))))))))))

Great - I will atleast get to see my bike with a black seat before deciding to buy one......

BTW - I had a couple of weeks back seen a black Ninja on NH8. Had green rear seats, green rim tapes and green tank pad. Lookes smart. Not sure if the owner is on x-bhp

Man! You have so many Ninja mods already, so I guess it will be easier to fit the bike on the accessories, rather than the accessories on the bike!

Don't know whether Bajaj sells the seat covers in India. But they sell the lime green seat cowl, why don't you get that? Will go great with your tail covers. Costs around 4k, I think.

And getting a seat cover on the existing seat should make more sense. It is basically a textured fabric stapled to the base of the seat.

                • fellow Ninjaiettes...Opine please..

Do you think the Ninja will do NH4 Pune Chennai Journey over a period of 2 days ( 2 Sunrises 1 Sunset ) ?
Its a good road they say and I need to be going to the track to attend Kieth Codes California Superbike School lessons 16th onwards.
Will the bike handle to above distance in the above mentioned time and yet be able to take a heavy beating on the track for 4 days ? ( and then ride it back again ? )

I am not a tourer..so dont forget that you are addressing a noob here if you happen to be one of those Sadle Sore journeymen.

                  Mighty Thanks !

                  • Ninja is a transcontinental bike, so distance is not a problem, but the butt can be the biggest problem.

                      @ Tenhut,
Quite easily you should be able to do it in 2 days with adequate rest in the night .
If ur planning to go via blore...

Well I did a trip last decemebr to kerala via Blore, reached bangalore in 13 hours from pune (left at 05.00 pm and reached madanayakahalli (just outskirts)at 18:00) on an Enfield electra inclusive of 2 hours of stoppage time. But i was ripping my bike apart in this quest (above 100 kmph for most time )

So the Ninja should be able to better the same without doubt, with roads smooth as a carrom board except for a 30 km stretch before chitradurga where construction is still going on.
And Blore-chennai being only 350 kms..you might take 4-5 hours at the max (not very sure of the route thou).

So if you are an exceptional iron butt ..you can still make it in a day's riding
If u leave pune by 3.00 am.. you might reach chennai by 8-9 ish .And its just over 1250 kms a day

I can assure you that the Bangalore - Chennai road is a pleasure to ride. Bluevolt did a Bang - Chennai - Pondy trip recently. His travel log has a detailed report. Cheers.

                        • Delivery status in Hyderabad

Guys from Hyderabad, did you get any update from probiking? They were supposed to give an updated status on the 7th, but no one has called me yet.

Also which highway from Hyderabad do you think would be best to eat up the 'run in' kms on the Ninja?
                          The company I keep:

                            No idea about booking etc.
Best highway for the Ninja is the NH7 Nagpur highway (Medchal onwards), 4 laned upto Kamareddy, about 100kms.
Go every other day till the end of the 4 lane, you can do about 200+ kms. total, have breakfast&come back.
Even the superbikers do the same on Saturday mornings.
Our Hyd xBhpians would be more than happy to accompany you!
