so, i think i`ll just wait for a week time and hope things sorted out, then i will contact back.

The waiting time has come down from 135 days to 90 days !! I am sure with that. i booked mine on 16th november.(even i felt like going for a 600cc. anyways now i have not changed my mind i am with sticking Ninja) i feel like its been ages since i have booked mine and still waiting .
Yeah! When I contacted the showroom, he told me he will let me know by the 7th of Feb, so at least they are consistant in their response.

Ninja is the most practical option for our city. I too would have loved to own a R1 (my dream bike) but then it would'nt be practical, also there is a huge price difference.

In my booking papers the waiting is mentioned as 135 days, so I was wondering whether my period also automatically comes down to 90 days?

        • OK I aint crazy ! I am posting this after having tested it a million time now.

Locking the rear wheel even momentarily under heavy braking in 2nd gear auto downshifts the bike into 1st.

First I thought it was my chain jumping. But then i started doing it on purpose. The whole freakin Gear changes !!

          Is this normal ?

I guess thats the side effect of Kawasaki's PNF (Positive Neutral Finder), that doesn't allow you to slot into neutral when the bike is in motion!
Helps in parking though, but this sounds a bit weird.

            • ^^ the speed sensor on the front sprocket does that.

Guys - I have booked on 16th Oct in Pune PBK. Its almost 110 days now. When enquired, I get very uncertain response as nobody is confident about the delivery even though I have paid them full amount 10 days back

                  • BTW - I rcvd the CF rear hugger today. Anyone in Delhi knows someone who can make these locally if provided a sample.

Ofcourse will be more expensive than the FZ hugger but will save many a lot of trouble.

Saw a hugger on Ebay - it was a regular fibre one and hence sent him an email asking if he would be able to supply a CF one. Luckily he had one ready for dispatch.

Heres how it will look once fitted on the bike - am sending you pics the seller sent. makes sense rather than send pictures of the one I have in a box :-)

The sellers name is Scott and I have read some good things about him on many Ninja forums.

While the Atech ones are fancier - I somehow didnt like the idea of covering the entire swingarm with carbon fibre.

This one costed me USD 150.00 inclusive of shipping. Expensive but not as much as the Atech ones which cost approx 400 US. There is this guy in Bangkok who makes Atech style ones and charges about 250 US + shipping.

Looks very neat! Thanks - the pictures shown are without the pillion foot pegs - after you put the pegs back on, it might obscure a bit of the hugger look wise...

A-Tech is expensive and damn the rising yen! Two years ago, the price would have been only $200 due to the strong rupee. And after the GQ trip, I don't think I will have any money left for any A-tech or B-tech

I should start falling in love with my Rs.110 Yamaha hugger!

I dont know anyone who works with carbon fibre anywhere in Delhi. Let me try and replicate this using something else.
