  • Price check with Pune PBK,

Ninja Side Fairing : Rs. 10,400/- Each Side
    Headlamp Assembly : Rs. 12,000/-

I just asked the price. I didnt have to get them replaced if you're wondering

Also, Shirode Auto is no longer going to service Ninjas. From what I heard, there's no longer going to be a PBK there.

Its shifted to Sai Service Center. Not sure where that is.

I hope the prices may reduce once the Kawasaki Motors India is established...

I checked in Kawi forums and the side fairing is priced at $100+shipping

I agree. Even Yamaha (when planning to launch 250 cc bike) mentioned 21 BHP. I believe Honda also would be in the league of Pulsar 220 and the theoritical hypothetical Yamaha 250.
The idea of Honda and Yamaha (if at all) is to manufacture the bikes in India and then sell them for much lesser cost than Ninja.

Wanting to buy one myself. Do let us know how good this particular product is and on what surfaces it is safe to be used.

Have some minor scratches on the windscreen and a small hardly noticable one on the tank so will lookout for an update from you before I buy this.

The Armorall wash n wax is really good. Hope you bought some mitt's or microfiber cloth's for washing the bike.

Hey the transparent coating over the metallic part about which you told the other night while going to maddur is it available in pre-cut mode for bike models or its a complete sheet and you have to cut it on your own?
              My thoughts...

Those are paint protection films which come in a roll like your cling film rolls etc. You have to cut them to size. Check out the DIY threads by Bluevolt.

I am getting a roll or two of them from USA as they are not available here. If you need some, you'll have to wait till Aug as my folks are back only then.

P.S. Checked with Llumar and 3M and they dont make them or its discontinued.

Is 1 roll sufficient for the bike? And how much does 1 roll costs?
And discontinued meaning its not available in india or its not available in US as well?

Chamois cloth is only meant for wiping the bike dry. Do not use it for anything else.

Pick up a set of microfiber towels or mitts. I bought a set of 3 microfiber towels for 560/- in blore from turtle wax company. One is for washing the bike, one for drying (in case you dont have a chamois) and the third for the polish. These are very soft and wont scratch the paint or cause swirl marks. Must buy !!!

Jopasu is another manufacturer of high quality cleaning products for automobiles. I have their dry brush (used to wipe away dust and dirt from the vehicle when it is dry) and also their microfiber towels. Very good quality, reasonable and highly recommended. Available on eBay India.

One roll is more than enough dude. You wont be covering the whole bike with the tape. Use it only for scratch prone areas like the tank (if you dont want to get a tankpad) parts of fairing, tail covers etc. No idea of the cost but its not expensive. Its just a thicker cellophane tape.

On team bhp (a car forum where I am also a member) a search led me to Llumar. But called the company rep and they are yet to launch the product. 3M has stopped making them for reasons best known to them. But these are available in USA at pepboys and most auto shops. Google and you'll find them.

Had a good bunch of pro lensmen on the track, so will post more when I get the pics.

Was lucky to bring back the Ninja unscathed.. coz bikes ranging from Apaches to 600RRs were scraping dirt all the time.

So if you love your bike don't take it to the track....

                                Guys,

After our Lavasa ride, I and Saad (devilpulsarian I think) went to PBK. I change the oil at 3000kms to Motul 15W50 semisynthetic. How long (kms) it will last? Saad also got it changed .

Also Probiking is shutting down all over India (as per PBK Shirode Pune). Now bikes will be delivered and Service by normal bajaj distributors (in Pune Sai, Gems etc) and will be serviced by them. Ninja will be serviced by Sai service at Nal stop
