nice .. how was the overall feel on the hills?Originally posted by harikeshpk View Posttook the ninja today to yelagiri hills for a spin. as expected all hairpin bends were on first / second while going up. i did not want to get caught if i had to apply brake on an hairpin bend and dont have power to pull out immediatly. you have to work hard on the gears to maintain the torque. it is understandable for a 250 cc.
i got mine from PBK for around Rs. 1000.Originally posted by cooltoad View PostCan Anyone tell me where do we get the cover for a kwacker... mine is expected anytime next week... and also how much does it cost?
I did 165 kmph on the speedo today at around 12.5 k rpm on the greater noida expressway. Again I did build up in the initial gears and opened the throttle only in the final drive. The bike is showing promise of reaching 175 one day ...

, what about the assistance, road gradient and wind?
Young riders pick a destination and go, Old riders pick a direction and go !

road gradient was mostly level but in the last few speedo-ticks the gradient was a bit inclined so there was a bit of drag because of that. The wind was normal as it was a sunny afternoon. I did crouch behind the windscreen but i did not use any pull by going behind a bigger vehicle to create a draft.Originally posted by shelton_jh View Post165 kmph

ninja is pretty relaxed on the hills. keep the torque for the hairpins and she goes like a dream. engine is pretty cool with the temp at the minimum all the way up and down.Originally posted by TorqueMaster View Postnice .. how was the overall feel on the hills?

Mine was misaligned too. Got it corrected during third Service at PBK.Originally posted by bluevolt View PostMy rear wheel alignment was off after the tyre change by around 5mm. Finally I got time today to fix it myself. Now the alignment and chain slack is ideal.
How about yours, did you check after the change?sigpicI feel like Clark Kent on the streets riding the Pulsar, On the track.. with my Ninja.. I feel like Superman.

Did you notice any difference in the way the bike handled or behaved with the swingarm alignment being off marginally?Originally posted by killer_instinct View PostMine was misaligned too. Got it corrected during third Service at PBK.
How much did you pay for the third service? Is it a complete thorough check or just a fluid top up, wash, check brakes sorta thing?
I am facing vibrations in my handle bars and the vibes are very evident on the right clip-on compared to the left. Have to get it sorted out soon. My right arm feels numb within a short span of riding.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

I have faced this similar issue just before my first service at around 750 kms on the odo. I rode for another 150 kms and then went in for the first service and as I expected after the oil and fitler change the vibes are much lesser now and the evident vibes on the right clip-on has vanished.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostI am facing vibrations in my handle bars and the vibes are very evident on the right clip-on compared to the left. What you don't come to know from these ads are "WHY?" E.g. reasons like 'going for bigger bike' is not enough for selling such beauty (only 6K kms on odo) at throw-away price. There's got be some catch, too good to be true...Originally posted by psr View PostGuys used Ninjas have started appearing at a good price....even as low as 1.5 L.Advertised in Bikes4sale.com....

Precisely..though my mouth waters at the thought,I draw my tongue back..Don't want to end up like the Konica Honda case of Hyderabad...not that I have enough moneyOriginally posted by vrathor View PostWhat you don't come to know from these ads are "WHY?" .Still there are some at 2L...which seems more like a good deal....But all these are hardly one year old.Bajaj had sold only 1000 of them and I wasn't expecting them to come to the used for sale market till another year atleast.

Prob its a NINJI
Infact there is one ad for just 25K
and its cc has been reduced to 100cc. Heard of boring an engine to increase the cc but first time that some one has underbored the Ninja from 250 to 100cc!!

This seems to be the handiwork of some ppl who want to buy a Ninja at a low price
or it could be a badly crashed Ninja
. The crash was so bad that it reduced the engine cc from 250 to 100

Ha ha ha..good one from you....I was looking more at the 1.5L 250R from West bengal..since it did appear to be a sane one.( Or rather I would like to think so).Originally posted by JAKRAP View PostIt seems like a prank!

The point is some at 2L+ were also there..and I thought it is too early for such a good bike to come up in used column....A few pages back Xbhpians were discussing about the Ninja from the used market..so I thought i will post it here, and if it turns out ok our fellow Xbhpians will benefit.
