It was one of the accessories for R15-costed Rs.1500 odd. I sold it for half the price once I got the mainstand fitted.
There was a discussion once earlier whether the same could be used for the Ninja-I think JD tried it&replied in the negative.

          • I tried it again recently. If you keep it really close to the centre of the bike, and then hike it up, it raises the rear wheel by like 1/2 to 1 inch. Which is adequate for lubricating and cleaning the chain. But its not really recommended since the bike is not much stable. Better to go for the metfab stand.

the best oil for at least 8000 kms would be mineral oil. but bajaj put in semi synth oil. even on my bike at chennai pbk they had filled dtsi semi synth oil. i will continue with this oil for about 10,000 kms after which i may switch to fully synth.

The day when I proposed myslef in home about buying a bike there is a strict opposition abt my choice ..and evry one wer satin that it's not at all safe to hAve a bike and better to have a car...and those are the days when I started loosin hope for a bike and I used to see daily the brocher of ninja daily and dream about it ....an one day when my dad saw that bike in the pbk showroom he too liked it like hell..and booked that bike without tellin anyone.and one day he told me that he booked it for me and I just can control myself when I heard that.and then my dad convinced evruone in the home fortunatley I just got call from the pbk saying that bike is ready for delivery but as I was goin to a tour I have told them to keep it without openin the box for 10more days.and finally the day arrived when I put my hand on the bike that's a completely different feeling I never thought that I would keep my hand s on the best sellin 250ccbike in
the world.and that is the my love started for ninja.during the first 1000 kms I felt much difficulty in controllin the rpm rate and the speed.and once I did get it serviced I started enjoying with it like anythng not that I didn't enjoy durin first 1000kms.and I never make me felt regret for spending three lakhs on it.and every time I ride ninja it makes me feel proud of myself it never let me down till now.and finally what I can say is it's true value for money ad it's for the persons who are truly in need of adventure.

Forgive me if have done any mistakes

The cosmetic changes are fine as long as the engine remains the same or go higher in capacity when it comes to a Ninja!

                    • Since i had a fall , the left indicator is broken and i had requested prasanna for the same...
he told that he will look into the spares section and get back to me.... if not present.. he will order for the same and it will take 3 days of time to get delivered...

As bangalore had already sold more than 80 bike since the launch .. don't you people think that it is high time now that all PBK showroom should have nearly all the spare ready with them at their disposal... so that their is no delay.

What is your take on that?

                      • unfortunately I had my share of the bike getting dropped today. The worst part is that I dont know how it happened. I parked the bike in my office parking in the morning and when I went to take it out in the afternoon, it was slightly shifted from its position and had a dent on the left side of the tank and some scratches on the left fairing

It looks like someone dropped it on to the next bike standing beside it but no one saw anything ...

Can the tank dent be covered under insurance?

Completely agree.. at least the stuff that is prone to damage even in small accidents should be stored locally...
