Superzoil additive is not available in India and Bluevolt got them from Japan. Costs about 14k per litre but you need only about 200 ml for the Ninja.

I am sorry. Not in a position to comment on that, as it is not tested and proved. I might have driven the bike in more dusty conditionsOriginally posted by vkuchhal View PostClogging of the K&N filter quiker than the stock... doesn't that mean that it is cleaning the air much better way and dust particles of sub-zero size are also getting removed, which the normal filter is not able to do it?
Please speard some light on this.
Absolutely, I bought the filter before getting any reviews from our users. Waste of money. You can save money that you have to spend for K&N cleaning kit as wellOriginally posted by bluevolt View PostWhy go for K&N and waste money - there is no gain whatsoever in sound or performance.

Is it on usual service interval kms on the ODO or we must change it before 4000 kms mark?Originally posted by bluevolt View PostPersonally, I don't think the Bajaj oil does any harm to the bike, but if you want to put a different oil, you can try Castrol Activ Xtra 20W-50 (not 20W-40).B o D a C i O u S

The reason how dust particles stick to the air filter is the oil which is applied to the filter element. The K&N filter has a better, uniform layer of oil on its surface, hence the dust sticks easily. The Oil applied on the foam element starts dripping down due to gravity so if you notice, the stock filter gets dirty only on the lower half of the filter. Sometimes the oil drips out of the filter cover too.Originally posted by vkuchhal View PostClogging of the K&N filter quiker than the stock... doesn't that mean that it is cleaning the air much better way and dust particles of sub-zero size are also getting removed, which the normal filter is not able to do it?
Please shed some light on this.
I am going to Hyderabad and then back - day trip of 1200+ kms... let me know if you're interested. I am going to start in the morning, reach by noon, have lunch with an old friend and then return to Bangalore by 8pm types.Originally posted by sreehari_r1 View PostAny one from Bangalore planning for a Sunday morning ride ????
Though the service manual states otherwise, it is necessary in India to change your oil every service. Not because it loses viscosity, but because its gets very dirty due to dust and other microscopic elements which are part of our riding environment. Not all dust is trapped in the air filter, some get in.Originally posted by whizzkid_ram View PostOkey, When is the next oil change after it is used? Something is up with my bike. One by one all my lighting system seems to be collapsing. First the low beam went out, then the rear lights (brake lights still work) and now the tacho does not glow. Any idea what could be the issue? Is it a co-incidence?
Also, the Ninja OEM bulbs cost Rs.900, I have heard Phillips Xtremepower H7 is a better choice and costs lesser. Any opinions?
And Happy Birthday Aditya.

Yestarday saw a Black Ninja at around 6:30 PM near Golf Course Road going towards Mekhri circle, beautiful, the way it flew past everything in the traffic, a RE 350 guy was blasting his bike with his modded noisy silencer, he was shocked
by the way the Ninja flew past him silently without making any fuss. Was it any of our XBHPIANS?

I was told the ''Motul' Fully Synth is good for 6000 kms and thus the logic that although it is expensive to buy, it actually works out cheaper.Originally posted by whizzkid_ram View PostOkey, When is the next oil change after it is used? Having a problem with my battery too..when the upper beam is on (i.e both lights running) the horn sounds so weak..I actually feel ashamed to use it. Did any of you have this problem? Do you guys think I can get a replacement for the battery? its less than a year old.The company I keep:

I just got myself a pair of Osram (Mega white) 4300 k 12v 55W. Though right now only my low beam is kaput, I will switch both high and low to the new bulbs. Will post an update soon after I install them today.Originally posted by Hyperion View PostSomething is up with my bike. One by one all my lighting system seems to be collapsing. I also have a spare Philips H7 12v 80W lying around. Asim has been using that bulb without any issues.

How different is this from Philips Extreme H4 60/55 watts? From what I've heard & read, Philips Extreme provides 80% more bright light & covers 25m more. Is this Osram 4300K better than Philips?Originally posted by bluevolt View PostI just got myself a pair of Osram (Mega white) 4300 k 12v 55W.
