You can put a 140 section rear tire without any modifications to the swingarm. Pirelli Sport Demons are available in this size. Should cost around 3.5k or so.

Yup! Rajiv in Chennai has done just that. He reports a slight loss at top end though. There are also a couple of videos on YouTube where guys have put in 150 sections too - but I think that might be pushing it.

Also, maybe my imagination, but the 140 section seems 'square' unlike the rounded profile of the OEM IRC's. I could be mistaken though.

I am based out of Delhi, not sure if IDV differs based on location.
Also, I have claimed once from my previous insurer Oriental insurance for a bent rim, which was a claim of around Rs. 23,500. So, now insurer will give me a no claim bonus.

I checked with New India Insurance and ICICI lombard as well, they were also giving similar IDV of around 2,27,000. But were charging more than Rs. 4500 as premium.

The only person I could check giving higher IDV was IFFCO TOKIO, around Rs. 2,47,000. Premium was just over Rs. 4000.
Next year I will contact you before paying the premium...

I have seen karan (invincible) with a fender eliminator on the Ninja. Looks great, but it might end up splashing a lot of mud when it rains or when you cross a puddle!

Karan's bike splashes more mud on the bikes/car riding behind him rather than on his own bike . It creates a huge rooster tail when riding over wet surface.

Some crap police walas stop here and then fine for it. Although not on Ninja but on other bikes. Is there any traffic rule regarding it?
