thanks a zillion .Originally posted by bluevolt View PostGuys! After a lot of difficulty and searching the internet for many days, I have finally managed to chance upon a free copy of the 500 page service manual for the Ninja 250R. And this is NOT the carb manual which is so freely available, this
is the FUEL INJECTION version manual:
Download before its gets removed from that website!
Download the whole copy - great for reference sakes and common troubleshooting. I have read both the carb and the FI service manuals, and this FI version has a lot more details related to our Indian version!

Yes. But my bike is out of action these days - I think problem with the throttle sensor. I took apart the bike today, removed the fuel tank and checked spark plugs, signs of any loose connections. Everything was ok, so I ran self diagnostics using the tailseat ground wire - the service code was 11 which mean a throttle sensor malfunction.Originally posted by Hyperion View PostThanks bluevolt. Time to tighten those valves and tappets!

@BV : The document you shared said the engine oil should be 10W40... why so...RIP Marco

Most of the countries where the Ninja is sold is not as hot as India (45 deg+) - so as an average, it recommends 10-40. We should use something like 20-50 or 15-50.Originally posted by vkuchhal View PostI want to know that for #3 type their are 2-3 types available ... a sharp , a mid type and a more flatter profile... wanted to know what to go for..

the waiting period is the best part.

Ride safe and i hope you have all the necessary gears in place.
Never ride without your riding gear.
wishing you many miles and years of happy and safe rides.
@harsha: People try to race me on my slightly joel'ed R15 because of the sound itself ! so i'm assuming the ninja is gonna draw as much attention too
@ harish: from this side of waiting period sir , it doesn't seem like the best part yet !
@ aditya : thank you sir , my riding gear will be arriving around the same time as my bike i guess
. i just started working 2 months back so this is the first thing i'm getting for myself so it feels even more special !
Stock is boring , power is everything .
