really pbk wanna have lots of profits in spares i guess

every thing is fixed with zero damage to my pocket.

i took the bike pbk yesterday.firstly arif(ninja service guy) inspected it and removed the bend in gear rod, then he saw the indicators and asked me to get them replaced without even checking if its damage to bulb or wiring.then i asked him if it can be fixed without replacing the indicators as its a bit coaslty affair.then he was like replace the indicators with p135 indicators sir they look very good on ninja.i was like WTF and left the pbk.
then i went to mechanic near my place whom i know very much (sometimes i get ma airfilter cleaned and chain lubed from)then i opened the indicator and found that the wire is loose adjusted it and used araldite.now everything is ok and i am very happy for not going according to the pbk service guy

P.S: i would advise everyone here not to just go by what the pbk guys say

would like to know if the pbk service attitude is same everywhere or only in hyderabad???
Nice to hear mate that you came out with zero losses to your pocket.

The attitude here in Delhi PBK is also the same. The mechanic don't even know what Ninja is all about and what it's capable of.
I had the problem of sound coming at higher rpms, they told me that you have taken off your front no. plate so the rear view mirror mounts are made like that to hold no. plate and they now are not in proper place so they are making such vibes/noises and other false resons too that "aap itne 12k rpm pe bike ko kyo le ja rahe ho, aise to clutch plate baith jayengi". I told them it's a sportsbike and are made to be revved like that, then they said "to aap fir ab apne liye mehenge kharche ke liye ready raho".
They are just stupid people who just know how to handle P220, Avenger's, etc.

P.S : No offences to the owners of the bikes mentioned above.

its unbelievable they had the cojones to say that. I always used to think bajaj gave a hard time to those who bought their bikes. And now they start with the ninja too. I mean you spend 3 lakhs and buy the world's best selling sportsbike and you are given some shitty two bit advice of not revving it too much or replacing its quality parts with some ordinary commuter bike's parts??? Guys you should seriously report these incidents to CC. I mean this attitude is seriously intolerable. In fact better is that you should get in touch with some guy from kawasaki and tell them about bajaj's shitty attitude. I think kawasaki should now resume their Indian operations independently.

I never understand why people take a bike that looks pleasantly good and turn it into something like this..:/

the red looks better in the third pic.

the stickering tho... is really overdone.

15 Months ... too unrealistic time bro .. I guess anyone who takes such a bike will first quench the adrenaline thirst inside and then do a photoshoot of the star :P ...

My P-220 is one month old and all I took the pics were only while on delivery day ..

                      • hi!

                        Hi there!

This is Navin, from Chennai. Back on XBhp and biking after a long hiatus. Quite a dramatic change here at XBhp (last login was almost 3~4 years ago).

Been reading the thread since yesterday, the Ninja sounds very promising! I had the luck of riding my good old friend Rajivenky's bike a few weeks ago. Didn't take too much time to decide that this was a machine to go for.

Anyone else here waiting for delivery? I booked on 31st of May, and I'm told it's going to be a 75 day wait for Chennai deliveries :-( ! That's for the green one btw, I'm told Black is readily available (2-3 days delivery).

Anyways, I wait eagerly for the day I'll ride again :-) ... will keep you guys posted.

Good to be back here. Hope to connect with Chennai Xbhpians.

                        Cheers!

                        -Navin

P.S: Is there a Blackberry Messenger (BBM) group for Chennai Bikers / Xbhpians? Pls do let me know! :-)

                          • Agreed in full! 75 days is long. Tried convincing the showroom manager to take a premium for a faster delivery, but was blown by his commitment. Car showrooms never hesitate to do so! So yes, it's a long wait, but from what I've heard & read, I'm sure it's worth the wait :-)

Btw Abhinav, is that ur bike in your avatar? How come it has a full green rear? Asked just out of curiosity, cos I noticed a black rear on the bikes in Chennai (on road & showroom)...

                            • Ninje'dd

                              Hi Guys,

This is my first post on this forum though i have been a silent reader of this thread for past 1-2 months. Ninja has been around my eye ever since it was launched but i never thought i'll plan to own it one day.
Thanks to all the bikology shared in the above posts, I have decided to make NINJA a part of my bike-ridden life. I am sure we'll both make a perfect combo..
So right now getting on top of all the docs and financing ( ) required. Just realised what difference can savings make, in pursuing your passion..

I will be booking the monster this weekend and as confirmed by PBK officials, will get the delivery in 10-15 days.

So just one naive query..what all things need to be checked/inspected in the bike before i take the delivery..all i know is check for scratches, electricals etc.
Any specific things to be checked for NINJA..??

                              Thanks..

yes thats me and my baby in my avatar!

mine is a 2010 model so it originally came with black tails, green pillion seat and the black speedometer unit! but with the 2011 models, the ninjas are coming with green tails, black pillion seat and white speedometer units!

couldn't resist the green tail look as IMO the bike looks complete with them hence bought them separately in pbk. your bike is going to be a 2011 model
