  • Its a true appreciation to see every one letting their words off the chest. I would like to know how many would have opted for CBR 250R if it was amid the option list during their way to Ninja ownership?

I am not really doing a survey over here but would like some unbiased opinions. Its not a comparison at all.

Inputs are greatly welcome and the pillion topic is still on progress as well.

Your bike is way better than babes, only thing is that you need a proper vision to mull over this fact. :D

Good for the wife or girlfriend but ixnay for a guy on pillion!

Long hauls (100km+) are not comfortable though in her opinion and she only wants to do shorter rides.
      +1 on all above.

around-the-rider-palms-on-the-tank stance is the only one which works but hands start paining after 50-60 km.

High speeds with a pillion is a No No in any sports bike and with N250R's hard seat, you will never forget that ride. My wife said bye to Ninja, after the first day ride itself. It might be different for bigger and tougher girls/ladies. I remember the travelogue of harikesh with his wife in N250R.

Above question regarding CBR 250R was obvious from you in such a situation you are in. Even today I will opt Ninja.

Hi Guys I am Navaneeth from Chennai, Booked my Ninja 250R in May 21st saturday 2011 at 6 03 P.M. in Adyar probiking. Finaly my two years dream is gonna come true. There are two of the Ninja's in Black but I want her in green, She looks perfect in green her curves which i've craved for over two years are bcos I saw her in green. Anyways I will be joining the Ninja family very soon. Pls let me know if there are any ninja owners in chennai. I know sunnyside is one. Yup I've been following the forum for a couple of months.

PM me your contact number and I'l help hook you up with a whole group! Quite a few of us ride together regularly, sometimes even with Ninjas from Bangalore and hopefully soon from Vellore too.

We tour quite a bit too - just got back from Kolli Hills. So if you like to ride, you're in for some serious fun!!

                • hai everyone, a bad day for me today i guess....today when my younger brother after coming home noticed bike lying with left side touching the ground, then he tried to lift it up but as its too heavy for him he couldnt balance it and now it fell to right(very slowmotion wala fall)..now after coming home i checked the damage, here is what i found:

1.gear rod :it went almost into the fairing, then i tried to get it out with the help of wrench provided in tool kit,it came out a bit but now its touching the cable beside it.now i could change the gears but not with ease

2.left indicator: its not working but its attached to the bike(bit loose ) to my surprise i found that rear indicator is not blinking(its working)

3.right indicator:its working but loosely attached

4.few minor scrathes on fairing(no cracks) as mine is black i think i can manage it with some black paint.

                  will visit pbk tomorrow.
                  any suggestions???

A few months ago one of the ninja owners had posted that it costs 2.2k for each tail piece at PBK and Bluevolt confirmed that the price was a steal. I'm not sure if the same prices hold good today.
its true! 2.2k for each panel! i bought the green tails 3 months ago...but dont know the current pricing...2.5k on a website is rip off (i never thought i'll ever admit PBK is cheaper so i guess this is the anomaly)

                    • Hellow N250 ownerz..Em a CBR250R owner and here to give my 2 cents to pravu bhai's query!!

@ pravu bhai, people who complain here of a sore back as a pillion on the N250,well I got it too..when i was a pillion with you on my CBR!!
although i didnt get a sore ass (maybe it fit properly to the rear seat of the CBR??..or maybe i am slim enough)

while u bent down to minimize air resistance, i felt as if the wind is gonna tear me apart from the middle, so i had my cap on my face all the time (to avoid my eyes from popping out and flying away)

so,yes, the pillion sitting way above the rider, sore back etc is also there in the CBR250....but the winning part is i had a grab rail to hold on n keep myself from falling away

they all seem minor but as we know how priceless the spares and repairs are at pbk, try to keep away initially! ask arif to give you an approximate on the repairs and all and also get a quotation from an outside place (since none of the parts are broken, you'd be better off getting it repaired at pbk...but if arif says they need replacing or something along those lines, walk away and get it done outside like one of our ninja owner had done recently)

Sorry to hear about the damage.

                          1. the level can be adjusted with easy. PBK should be able to do it... requirement to change should be their.

for the indicators might be loose.. check for the electrical connection settings..

PS: PBK might try to make some extra bucks here..
                          RIP Marco

Using Seat Cowl often & as no GF yet couldn't ask the experience of any pillion rider. Replaced the cowl with the rear seat to experience myself as a pillion. Asked my friend to ride my kwacker. Tis only good for short bursts. Riding solo is advisable. For long rides with pillion tis better to get a comfortable cruiser. Eg: Honda Goldwing or even TBTS

How fast does the Ninja 250R go ????
Many of the users here has already done its top speed.

I just wanted to know the speedometer figure of the Ninja 250R on a highway at full throttle.
