Sorry for sounding harsh - I lost my younger cousin brother who was also my best friend 13 years ago in a motorcycle accident due to head injury because his helmet was tied to his bike instead of his head - I've attended his funeral and experienced first hand the loss.
As a result, I just don't have respect or patience for idiots like these. What's worse, guys who ride these SBK's are very often looked up to by impressionable youngsters and they should be setting examples rather than showing off and displaying bravado.

I didn't feel that your words in the earlier posts were harsh in any way

Well guys this thread and all the posts here have been really informative so far. My bike is due for its 1st service. The bike is running perfect so far and i have been trying (harddd) to ride below 5krpm. Its been 2 mnths since i got the bike now and I havent been riding it often due to the rains.
For all the owners from Mumbai/Thane I have a question. Which is a better service centre for the N250, the one at Ghatkopar or the one at Thane?
I live in Bhayander and have my office in Vasai so both the service centres should be at the same distance frm my place.
Also I read a few pages back that Motul oil is better than the one used by the service centre guys, so should i buy the oil and give to the service centre guys or should I rely on PBK for the oil change?
Please give your suggestions.
Thanks in advance.Any day is a good day with the wind on your face.

Regarding the oil, I suggest you to go in for the Motul one(mineral for first 3K KMS atleast). Bajaj oil is OK but cannot justify to the high revving capacity of the Ninja and will deterioate faster and will be useless in just 1k KMS. I used the Bajaj one for first 3K KMS and really regret that, I should have switched to Motul mineral earlier so that I could have enjoyed my ride more during that time.Originally posted by shamshuis View PostWell guys this thread and all the posts here have been really informative so far. Bajaj oil turned totally black and had lost it's complete viscosity when I saw it while changing to Motul semi-synth.
After switching to Motul (semi-synth) in my bike just a week back, throttle response is much smoother and gear shifts have eased down as compared to earlier.
To All,
Siince last 2 weeks I was not able to do much riding on my Ninja due to rains and the engine oil problems that I had but sometimes I am in real mood to ride but cannot take her out when planning some outing with my friends for a movie or so with only 1 reason not to take her out that is sheer reason of concern when parking in parking lots of movie halls/malls.
Just wanted to ask you guys do you park your Ninja in some malls or parking lots when moving out just for a movie or a G2G wth friends or moving out for a date with your girlfriend ???

Thanks 'Kariznin' for your valuable feedback. Can you please also tell me what grade should i go for in Motul semi synth?
As far as taking out the bike for movies or at malls, i've never done that and would avoid it far as possbl since i dont want to take the risk of leaving it at the parking lot unattended for hours.Any day is a good day with the wind on your face.

You must go in for the Mineral one 3000 4T plus 15W 50 as from your post you are going for 1st service and your bike may have done aroud 1K, so it is still a newer engine Mineral one should be used. I switched to semi synth at 3170kms on the odo.Originally posted by shamshuis View PostThanks 'Kariznin' for your valuable feedback. P.S. : Manual recomends 20W 50 grade but it is not available in Motul mineral one's. 15W 50 will do good as 20W 50.

Parking Ninja at Malls/Theaters is a pure NO NO.Originally posted by kariznin View PostTo All,

I haven't even dared to park the Ninja at my office... still searching for options
I finally completed the 1600mark and today went for a 100kms ride on the NH and red-lined in 1-5 gears very progressively
Mannnnn....It was MUSIC to EARS
Speed I did not concentrate much but the max I could see was around 145 on ODO

but in malls it would be real eye candy for people and wanna poke her and try to feel the throttle twist as if by doing that they would get an idea of how does it feel while riding.
This is not a case with Ninja only, I have seen people fidling around with ZMA's/R15's/Pulsars.
These people have some common areas of poking on every, turn indicators, RVM's, gear lever and last but not the least finger prints or dirty hands on the tank.
Usually I face all these when I park my ZMA in parking lots with 1 more thing like parked on side stand and when returned, bike is on main stand with all above mentioned points done to my bike and dirty hands on the tank really pisses me off as I try to keep my bike absolutely clean but these stupid people enjoy keeping their hands on a clean shiny tank.
