    Another random click

Two clicks on two pages. How is that for stats?

You want me to search again? I won't be flooding this thread with other 250R and nor will I post it there. Why? You want current CBR owners* (most who are possessive) to shoot me down?

I am not trying to play down CBR 250-R, but Kawasaki is a superior Motorcycle here. Almost everywhere (between these both). And yes its priced steeply (not going into whys and hows) but the high pricing alone doesn't make the Kawa superior.

Internationally, there is very little to choose between the Japs, but most say Honda is ahead. May be. Happy?

    * Most owners are possessive and look over the bike's negatives becuase they own them. Its all across, nothing in particular with CBR or any other Motorcycle.

Rome wasnt built in a day. When a new product comes out, it comes with its share of bugs. Hope you're not ignorant enough to say that the kawi 250 is flawless?

    from our very own xbhp:

Now if you'd say, that the tyres are not from kawasaki & it was sourced from 3rd party, then i could say the mirror bolts(cbr link 1 you've posted) are same situation. They're sourced from third party.

I'm not saying CBR is perfect(i very well know that lol), but neither is a Ninja. Hope you get my point.

I appreciate people around who dont go around nitpicking and enjoy the ride for fun. There are many mature people here whom i respect and follow for advice & Then are there are few others...
You expect those few others to understand, well they never will.

And yes those mirror issue scratched the nearby area, but it isn't an issue, really?

Honda isn't built in a day dude.
    Bye

P.S- I though you will understand that I wasn't trying to play down any Motorcycle (the last highlighted bold part is enough proof) but then, there are always a few others. At least somewhere we agree. Nice.

@harikeshpk : Its just amazing at the heights few people would go to justify the so called *premium tax* . .

Just a day back i saw a RD 350( LT) next to a Ninja 250r, and was surprised how much of a toy the Ninja looked like. . . . . & that RD was more than a decade old.

Bottomline is there is difference being expensive and getting extorted.
Can you please explain this statement?

That was a reply to harikesh's post. I am a avid fan of classic naked bikes, The subtle charm and stature of a RD for me was more mesmerizing than the plastics on either of the 250s'.

I really have no idea what a snorkel is . But I have slight intuition that its only present in the carbed ninjas. About the performance gain, it should be more or less similar to the carbed ninjas. But even if it just gives an increase of 2hp, IMO its still vfm

Did someone tell Honda to hurry and get those CBR out of their doors? What about paint work coming off while washing, what about complete engine replacement of Aargee's CBR? Does this speak highly about CBR quality?

BTW, don't you think that this is Ninja 250R ownership thread? If a ninja owner wishes to compare his bike with others, it is another issue. Since you own a CBR, you can put up your grievances about ninja in CBR ownwership thread or do you want all ninja owners to spam about how a ninja is superior in CBR ownership thread?

Why is that I hear comparison between CBR and Ninja only in CBR ownership forum and never in Ninja ownership forum? Just because each ninja owner knows that he has a much superior product.

Well, I had owned a RD350 in my college days. Last week, had a chance to buy a stock beautifully maintained single owner bike but when I went to see it, I could see that it really is an old design of 20+ years and did not even feel like taking a test ride.

This shows that each person has own choice but that does not permit him / her to badmouth others. Should I say that I thought the RD felt like Rakesh Roshan trying to act like a college student in a new movie? Would that make you happy?

If you want to contribute, please do so without ridiculing others.

                    Well said!

I keep coming across CBR owners trying to justify their purchases with mostly inane and absolutely short-sighted arguments - the most common being that of price - in my opinion simply because there is nothing else that you can attack the Ninja 250R with.

This IS an Owner's thread - that means meant for people who already thought that spending the extra odd lakh was worth it. It's numbers are swelling every day with fresh bookings and purchases - despite a long waiting period and also despite a cheaper alternative being available!

Yet we find wanna-be's and sour-grapes who constantly snipe at the Kwacker from the safe confines of the "better value for money" shadows.

VFM is a purely subjective thing. What is VFM to a guy who can afford only Rs.2L to buy a bike is not the same thing to a guy who can afford more.

Ninja owners don't bother to take digs at the Cee-Bee-Aar's simply because they do not suffer from the insecurity of knowing that there IS a class leader out there - and its called the Ninja!

I DO own a Kawasaki Ninja 250R, and I'm proud of it. If I had to buy a 250 again today, the choice would STILL be the same. I'm damned sure that any Ninja owner who's used his bike thoroughly would agree with me.

I wonder how many CBR250 owners would say the same if the extra money was not an issue.

In a universe of men and machines, there is an individual who achieves the purest confluence of both worlds where he and the machine must become one - He is The Biker!

                    • After buying both, the 250R and 250R, it was pretty easy for me to compare both and then opine on this Kawasaki Vs Honda argument.

For starters, the sheer presence of the Ninja is enough to take away all the glory of the Honda. One ride on the Ninja spells doom for the CBR. Needless to say, even subconsciously, I reach out for the keys of the Ninja.

                          this guy knows his bikes.

CBR 250R which makes it lighter and more fuel efficient against the Ninja making the Honda bike most popular among college girls.
Both bikes have liquid cooled engines, new technology. That’s plus point to attract girls.
While Ninja makes peak torque of 22 nm at 9200 RPM, CBR makes it at 7000 RPM only, giving it better ride-ability. Girls like good ride-ability which Honda CBR provides.
CBR has C-ABS... Remember girls love life more than you and prefer safety with speed.
some really valid points made here.

As a last small bike for me the C250 made sense as I intend to ride it for miles & miles & also to keep it for a long time --- the same with n250 would have been costlier for "my" pocket

the extra 1.5 L saved would obviously for the next big bike

else it was the n250 --eyes closed decision really

True there DK. The CBR is not a bad bike at all but then it all depends on how a particular bike suits someone. Different strokes for different folks
