Go for the black. It's good. I liked the black better than the green. Greens good too but the black looks very good in person unlike in pictures.
No offense to eco-friendly owners here.

The paint job on the black is excellent. The glossy finish is awesome. The green however is loud and screams for attention without sounding desperate, while the black is understated and passes off as just another bike.... almost.

Go with your heart. If you can handle the attention (and actually enjoy it) go with the green. If you want to keep a low profile, black it is. But remember, maintaining the sheen on the black is very difficult. Scratches and nicks are very easily noticeable on the black and its a cumbersome job to maintain the finish and shine for many years.

@F.I : heart says green mate ! ninja IS green !!
@ sarvajit : i was thinking among the same lines as this is my second bike and this will set the trend for all my future 2-wheelers .
      p.s - i'm keeping the R15 for daily use
@aditya : the paint job is brilliant on the black ! and i find maintaining my R15 hard already ! wish there was some way to make this choice easy !
gf says black , heart says green ! getting torn here !!!
My heart said green too in the beginning buddy. But I'm reeeeeeally happy with the black. Btw all gf's like black.

Black is a pain to maintain. GF wants black? Go with green and ask her to buy a black ninja. Best of both worlds and both of you will be happy.

Congrats on your bike dude. Ride safe. I love the paint job on the black but Green makes me feel younger... and its faster, of course. (just kidding dude).

Thanks buddy. Yeah green is faster. I agree because the green owners outnumber the black ones. So keeping low tide for now till the numbers even out.

Can anyone tell me what speed N250r does @ 4k RPM. Is it exact 60kmph or just below that around 56-58kmph?

Why is this so important? Any survey?

It is exactly 59.328kmph on GPS (Don't know about speedo error, if any )

Lol. I am in no way connected with this person. I know the above because I know that a P220DTSi in 5th and N250R in 6th will run parallel to each other(i.e. at the exact same speed) if the riders maintain the same RPM .
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                      • Last week, when I started my bike and rolled it out of the apartment towards my office, it started spluttering, the red FI engine came on and the engine started misfiring and even stopping if I tried to go above 4000 rpm. I had no idea what had happened so I called up Prasanna. He asked me to come over so I rode for seven kilometers in first gear till I reached the service station.

The cause could not be immediately pinpointed so I had to leave it at the service station. Later the fault was pinpointed to a loose/oxidated wiring socket plug on the right side. So they replaced the part, cleaned up my bike like new (with polish), probably cleaned my air filter too (since it is now so smooth) and handed over to me. Rs.0.00 since it was under warranty.

Moral of the story: This bike is bulletproof and Bajaj service rocks. Close to 24,000 kms mileage and the only thing which went wrong was a loose socket, after riding the bike through every road surface imaginable in India.

My friend has N250r and he is in his running period and he had this question. I read this on this thread earlier that it does 60kmph@4k rpm and his N250r does around 56-58kmph or so, so just asked this on his behalf and I am too planning to get the Ninja, so just for myself too

Check the detail specs in kawasaki uk website..

You will need to make some changes in the value of 'Final Drive Ratio
Front / Rear' then at 4k rpm it will be 57.4.
