Knee guards from Icon, Thor, Fieldsheer, back protector, gloves etc. Make sure these are CE approved. Maybe a tailbag from Cortech, Ventura or RJays also if he has space.Originally posted by A-mod View Postany accessory/protective gear which I can get there for less/better quality??? Rear set is basically your foot peg assembly. There are adjustable or race spec rear sets which would give you a much more race oriented position on the bike.Originally posted by A-mod View PostThinking of knee pads infact...@Aditya: are these priced decently in Bangkok...just askin...

Adjustable ones can help u adjust ur footposition for the kind of activity you want to involve yourself in. You adjust it lower and it gives you a much straighter position on the bike. You adjust it higher and it gives u much more lean angle when cornering on a track.
Aftermarket rearsets are of better build quality and most use ball bearings on the pivots. Also you can replace seperate parts in the event of a crash. They are also adjustable in most cases.Last edited by JAKRAP; 04-01-2011, 02:54 AM.http://www.californiasuperbikeschoolindia.blogspot.com

Test rode the Ninja with the missus yesterday. She liked it very much. The sitting position was very comfortable and it was unbelievable how easy it was to ride. One Mr. Seshadri helped us with the details and was pretty professional in his sales pitch. Since it was a brief ride, did not get to test the Ninjette a lot but from whatever little time we spent, we were quite impressed.
I just threw him the question of Honda's competition. He was least bothered saying both the products cater to different customer requirements and besides didn't think it would be a straight forward apples to apples comparision since the tech specs were different inspite both being 250cc. Besides there's no bike available yet either for a test ride to check the on road performance.Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one. And most of them are full of shit.

Nice. So is it gonna be the CBR or the Ninja? I'd say go with the ninja considering the level of attention to the customer from both Kawa and Bajaj. On this side of the bridge, customer is king. I seriously doubt if Honda dealers can match this level of support.Originally posted by jvh View PostTest rode the Ninja with the missus yesterday. Right now, more inclined towards the Ninja than the CBR but we haven't seen the CBR in flesh yet. I guess I'll be clear as soon as I see the CBR in flesh. And you are right, the ProBiking folks are really professional and am sure the servicing will also be the same. The discussions with the Honda folks do not induce the same kind of impressionOriginally posted by n_aditya View PostNice. So is it gonna be the CBR or the Ninja? Just to add to that, kawa has been the world leader in 250cc segment for the past 27 years since its first launch. The product has been tried and test since decades and is presently the best out their.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostNice. So is it gonna be the CBR or the Ninja? Though i am not saying that Honda 250 is bad, but it still has to prove itself in the market.
The major difference in attitude for the Honda folks is due the reason that the bike pricing is superb, and they know india being a price cautious market.. No matter if they do not spend much effort on the sales , the bike will still sell as hot pancakes. But i think the major difference will be the after sales service(which is till now a +ve for bajaj) and the spares cost.Originally posted by jvh View PostRight now, more inclined towards the Ninja than the CBR but we haven't seen the CBR in flesh yet. Secondly, Ninja looks a lot better (this is as per individual perception of course).Originally posted by vkuchhal View PostJust to add to that, kawa has been the world leader in 250cc segment for the past 27 years since its first launch. Aah do I sense another ownership soon? Its really something isnt it? When I rode it for the first time after taking delivery I was amazed by the way I felt. It was as if I had been riding it all my life, (i had in my dreams though but dont think that countsOriginally posted by jvh View PostTest rode the Ninja with the missus yesterday. there is a possibility that it might go up due to the new budget norms.. the OTR is different at different places.... the average price should be a close to 3 lakhsOriginally posted by vinbex View PostIs there a possibility of the ninja's price coming down by the end of this year?whats its OTR at present...Torque...because sometimes testosterone just doesn't cut it..

I actually applaud for this move by Honda the same way Bajaj brought the iconic Ninja back then. It's just that for a customer, its a little unfortunate for it to come as a CKD.
Yeah...as of now looks like we might end up with the Ninja than the CBR. Your dream and the dream-rides are well known buddy and BTW, whats up with your ownership report? You've been unusually silent on that part...Originally posted by sammyboy76 View PostAah do I sense another ownership soon? Its really something isnt it? ninja OEM part list
I dont know if this has been shared before, while searching for some kawasaki OEM parts I landed on this link where u can get the lists of ninja parts & their part numbers (similar to the 'parts book' that service guys uses, if u've seen one).
Very useful if u want to search for some small parts (e.g. rubber dampers of the seat cowl which are very prone to get lost) and u dont know where to search.
So here's the link:
(click for bike name on LHS to get the list)
Hope this will help some fellow biker.
Ride Safe !
